The short answer

LinkedIn profile warm-up, in one look.

Both ramp a LinkedIn account up slowly, but in different units. Expandi's gradual warm-up counts actions of any kind: 5 on the first day, then 3 more every two days up to 21 a day, after which it hands over to your daily limits. Warmerly ramps each kind of action on its own curve, and its invitations start at 5 a day, rising to 10 by day 15, while its warmup also views profiles, reacts, comments and posts. Expandi lets you write your own custom ramp. Warmerly's curve is fixed, and you can only lower the caps. Last checked 19 October 2026.

  • Warmerly: invitations a day (5, 6, 8, then 10). Profile views, reactions, comments, messages and posts ramp on a separate curve.
  • Expandi: actions a day, all kinds together. 5, 8, 11 are stated; 14, 17 and 20 are our arithmetic from its pattern of 3 more every 2 days; it stops at 21.

Units differ: Expandi counts every action together, Warmerly counts invitations. Real ramps also depend on your own settings. Expandi lets you write a custom ramp, Warmerly's curve is fixed.

Warmerly: invitation and other limits from its safety rules for a standard account (premium has higher invitation limits), by our arithmetic. Expandi: the gradual ramp is 5, 8, 11 and on to 21 as its help article states, the days in between are our arithmetic. The custom example is the article's own: start at 10, add 2 every 3 days, until 20 (12, 14, 16, 18 are our arithmetic). Expandi's custom ramp is yours to set, so this is one example.

Expandi keeps progress when all campaigns are deactivated, and resets it when you switch warm-up off and on or change its settings. Warmerly counts from the larger of the warmup days completed and the connection's age.

How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

Each action type ramps on its own curve from the day the account is connected, inside a fixed daily budget that warmup and campaigns share. You can lower the caps but not raise them.

01

Invitations ramp on their own, faster curve

A standard account sends 5 invitations a day on days 1 to 3, 6 a day on days 4 to 7, 8 a day on days 8 to 14 and the full 10 a day from day 15. The weekly cap ramps the same way: 25, 30, 40, then 50. Premium accounts have a ceiling of 20 a day and 100 a week.

02

Everything else ramps at 20, 35, 55, 75 and 100 per cent

Profile views, reactions, comments, messages and posts ramp over days 1 to 3, 4 to 7, 8 to 14, 15 to 21 and 22 on. Our arithmetic from the caps: profile views 8, 14, 22, 30 then 40 a day; reactions 4, 7, 11, 15 then 20; messages 10, 17, 27, 37 then 50; comments 1, 1, 2, 3 then 5; posts 0, 0, 1, 1 then 2.

03

What counts as a day

The ramp counts from the larger of the warmup days completed and the calendar age of the connection, so an account used only for campaigns still climbs with time. A new connection starts with warmup paused until you switch it on.

04

Warmup does real activity

Each day it plans one AI-written post, reactions and AI comments on posts found for the account's topics, and profile views and invitations (no note) to second-degree people. Posts only start once the post cap reaches 1, which is warmup day 8. Warmup never invites someone who is a lead in a campaign.

05

A safety pause

If a failure looks like a restriction, a checkpoint or a rate limit, the account's warmup is paused with the reason and stays paused until someone turns it back on.

06

Not seen live at the time of the doc

Warmerly's own LinkedIn doc recorded on 12 October 2026 that no warmup job had yet run in production, and that posting, reacting and commenting were read from the provider's docs and not exercised live. We did not re-test it.

07

Where Warmerly is behind

The curve is set by Warmerly. There is no custom start, step or interval, and no switch to change the ramp length. You can only set lower caps than the system allows.

How Expandi does it

Expandi, in detail.

A built-in gradual warm-up that counts actions of any kind and ends at 21 a day, or a custom ramp where you choose the start, ceiling, step and interval. It is listed as Profile Auto Warm-up on the Business plan.

01

The gradual option

The help article says that on the first day 5 actions are scheduled, then every two days the limit increases by 3 actions (8, then 11) until it reaches 21. Once it reaches 21 actions a day the system turns warm-up off and enables your custom daily limits. The option is titled 14-day, but the body does not give a total length. By our arithmetic the steps then fall on days 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13, giving 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 21 (the cap).

02

The custom option

You set 'Start at', 'Ramp up to', 'Increase by' and 'Every' (a number of days). The article's example starts at 10 actions a day and increases by 2 every 3 days until it reaches 20 (our arithmetic: 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 then 20, stepping every 3 days). After the ramp, daily limits are set to the highest value reached and the value one below it (20 to 21 after the gradual ramp, 19 to 20 in the custom example).

03

When it starts, pauses and resets

Warm-up starts once a campaign is active, pauses if all campaigns are deactivated and keeps its progress. Switching warm-up off and on, or changing its settings, reschedules the tasks and resets progress to the 'Start at' value.

Plan and weekly guidance

The pricing page lists Profile Auto Warm-up in the Business plan. The article recommends staying within 100 actions a week, since LinkedIn enforces a weekly cap of 100 connection requests. The article gives no evidence of how well warm-up prevents restrictions and calls it a precaution.

What Expandi does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • A stated total length of the gradual warm-up in days (the title says 14-day, the body gives the pattern only)
  • Any evidence or figure for how well warm-up reduces restrictions
  • Whether warm-up actions are counted per action type or as a single total (the article says 'actions')

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • Expandi's gradual option is titled 14-day, but the article body gives only the pattern (5, then 3 more every two days, up to 21) and no total length.
  • Expandi's home page says up to 300+ connection requests weekly, while the warm-up article recommends staying within 100 actions a week.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Do not compare the two lines as equals

Expandi's line counts every action together and Warmerly's counts invitations, so a 21 against a 10 is not a verdict on either.

2

Control against automation

Expandi gives you a custom ramp. Warmerly decides the curve for you and also warms the profile with views, reactions, comments and posts.

3

Both still sit under LinkedIn's own limits

Neither company can lift a limit LinkedIn sets. Each tells you to stay within weekly connection caps.
