If/action sequence builder, in one look.
Both have a visual builder with branches, but they branch on different things. Expandi's builder article lists 11 conditions that look at LinkedIn and email state: whether a lead is connected, has an open profile, followed you, visited your profile, has an email address, or opened, clicked or bounced an email. Warmerly's condition step races four outcomes after an email: replied, clicked, opened, or a timeout. Warmerly also applies built-in rules to LinkedIn, such as waiting for a connection, without a branch you can edit. On LinkedIn branching, Expandi is well ahead. Last checked 19 October 2026.

Warmerly The built-in check sees the connection at its next 6 hour re-check, and the LinkedIn message goes out. You do not draw this branch.
Expandi If connected takes the positive path, after the delay you set (the article's example is 7 days), and the follow-up message is sent.
Warmerly The lead is re-checked every 6 hours without spending send budget and skipped 21 days after the invitation. You cannot draw a different path for it.
Expandi If connected takes the negative path, where you can place If email exists and then an Email step. A lead with no address stays on the negative path.
Warmerly A reply wins the condition step's race. By default a genuine reply also stops that lead's sequence.
Expandi Not stated: the Expandi pages we read do not say whether a reply stops a sequence or can be branched on.
Warmerly The condition step reads opens from the lead's latest email, so an Opened branch fires if they open it before the timeout.
Expandi If email opened is its own condition after an Email step. If email clicked and If email bounced are separate conditions.
Warmerly No condition on profile visits found in Warmerly's code.
Expandi If visited your profile checks the past 90 days, with checks every 4 hours during active times, and takes the positive path on a visit.
| The lead | Warmerly | Expandi |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts the invitation | The built-in check sees the connection at its next 6 hour re-check, and the LinkedIn message goes out. You do not draw this branch. | If connected takes the positive path, after the delay you set (the article's example is 7 days), and the follow-up message is sent. |
| Never accepts | The lead is re-checked every 6 hours without spending send budget and skipped 21 days after the invitation. You cannot draw a different path for it. | If connected takes the negative path, where you can place If email exists and then an Email step. A lead with no address stays on the negative path. |
| Replies | A reply wins the condition step's race. By default a genuine reply also stops that lead's sequence. | Not stated: the Expandi pages we read do not say whether a reply stops a sequence or can be branched on. |
| Opens the email | The condition step reads opens from the lead's latest email, so an Opened branch fires if they open it before the timeout. | If email opened is its own condition after an Email step. If email clicked and If email bounced are separate conditions. |
| Visits your profile | No condition on profile visits found in Warmerly's code. | If visited your profile checks the past 90 days, with checks every 4 hours during active times, and takes the positive path on a visit. |

LinkedIn stateEmailLead data or time
Warmerly, in detail.
A drag-and-drop canvas with a condition step that branches on replied, clicked, opened or a timeout, mixed with email, LinkedIn and wait steps. LinkedIn rules like waiting for a connection are built in, not drawn as a branch.
One condition step, four outcomes
A condition step waits for a set time and races the outcomes against each other. A reply wins first, then a click, then an open, and if the time runs out with nothing matched the timeout edge fires (or the default edge). The opened and clicked outcomes are read from the lead's latest email. The step is checked once per engine tick.

Only the canvas makes branches
Branching sequences are built in the drag-and-drop canvas. The simpler list editor handles linear sequences only: email, wait, LinkedIn connection, LinkedIn message and WhatsApp message. If a sequence has a condition, the list editor refuses to show it rather than flatten it.

LinkedIn rules are built in
Before a LinkedIn message step the engine checks whether the lead is now a first-degree connection. If not, it re-checks every 6 hours and skips the lead 21 days after the invitation. You cannot draw an alternative path from that check, for example to switch to email when an invitation is ignored.

A reply stops the sequence by default
A genuine reply stops the lead's sequence by default, and unsubscribes go on a workspace-wide suppression list that every step respects.

Waits are on the step
A step's own 'wait N days' is honoured, so a follow-up two days after connecting is scheduled two days out. Each campaign also has sending days, an hour window and a timezone.

Where Warmerly is behind
We found no condition on whether a lead is connected, has an open profile, followed you or visited your profile, and no branch on a missing email address. A lead who never accepts cannot be sent down a different path by a rule you draw.

Expandi, in detail.
A smart-sequence builder with conditions that split the flow into a positive and a negative path, across LinkedIn and email state. Some conditions are added for you, and the builder only offers actions and conditions that are logically possible.
The 11 conditions
The builder article lists: ICP filter, If connected, If followed you, If visited your profile, If email opened, If email bounced, If email clicked, If email exists, If open profile, If post liked and Custom condition. Conditions split the flow into positive and negative paths.

Conditions that look at LinkedIn
If connected checks whether the lead is a first, second or third-degree connection, with the positive path for first-degree. If followed you checks whether the lead follows your profile within a set window. If visited your profile checks the past 90 days, with checks every 4 hours during active times.

Conditions placed for you
If connected is added automatically before and after connection requests, and before mobile connection requests and event invites. If open profile is added before a free Open InMail or a Paid InMail, and If email exists before an Email step, where leads with no email take the negative path.

Delays
An action's delay is the wait before it is scheduled. A condition's delay is the period during which Expandi checks for the outcome, and a lead moves to the positive path without waiting for the whole period if the outcome happens early. The article's example waits 7 days after a connection request. Options shown include Immediately, 15 minutes, 1 day, 5 days and 7 days.

Limits of the builder
Once a campaign is activated you can only change delays and message content, not add or remove steps. Paid InMail is a terminal step and must be last on its path. Signals must be the first step. Custom conditions must cover every outcome or leads can get stuck.

What Expandi does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Whether a reply stops a sequence in the builder: the pages we read do not say
- A default or maximum delay, and the full list of delay options
- The maximum number of endpoints in a custom condition (the example shows 4)
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Expandi's home page gives the builder as 10 actions and 10 conditions, as 9 actions and 8 conditions, and as 19 actions and 11 conditions. The help article lists 11 conditions and 20 action names including Signals.
- The builder article names the connection condition 'If open profile' in one place and 'If open InMail' in a list of steps without a delay control.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
LinkedIn branching
If you want one path when an invitation is accepted and another when it is ignored, Expandi gives you a branch to draw. Warmerly applies a fixed rule instead.
Email outcomes
Both can act on opened, clicked and replied email. Warmerly puts them in one condition step. Expandi gives opened, clicked and bounced separate conditions.
A lead with no email
Expandi has a condition for it. We found no equivalent branch in Warmerly.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- Your branches are mostly about what happens after an email: reply, click, open or nothing
- You want LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence without drawing the LinkedIn rules yourself
- You like a plain list editor for simple sequences
Expandi is the better fit if
- You want branches on LinkedIn state: connected, followed you, visited your profile, open profile
- You want conditions placed for you around InMail and email steps
- You want signals that start a flow from profile or post activity
Can Warmerly branch on whether someone accepted my LinkedIn invitation?
Not with a branch you draw. The engine waits for the connection, re-checking every 6 hours, and skips the lead 21 days after the invitation if they never connect.
What can Warmerly's condition step branch on?
Replied, clicked, opened or a timeout. Opens and clicks are read from the lead's latest email.
How many conditions does Expandi's builder list?
11, covering whether a lead is connected, has an open profile, followed you, visited your profile, has an email address, or opened, clicked or bounced an email.
