BIMI checker
BIMI is a DNS record that points to a brand logo for mailbox providers that support it. It depends on DMARC being at enforcement. This reads your BIMI record and checks the DMARC policy it relies on.
Reads your BIMI record and whether DMARC is at the enforcement BIMI asks for.
What this checks, and how.
- We look up the BIMI TXT record at selector._bimi.yourdomain.com. The selector is default unless you change it.
- We check the record's tags for errors, and read the DMARC record to see whether the policy is quarantine or reject.
- This tool reads DNS only. It does not fetch your logo file or check a certificate.
Quick answers.
Will a BIMI record make my logo appear?
Not by itself. Each mailbox provider sets its own conditions for showing a logo. A record that passes this check is a starting point, not a promise.
Why does BIMI need DMARC at enforcement?
BIMI is only offered to domains that have asked receivers to quarantine or reject mail that fails authentication, so DMARC must be at quarantine or reject.
