In-app calling and SMS on Multichannel; WhatsApp as an add-on
Calling, SMS and WhatsApp, in one look.
Warmerly has WhatsApp for conversations in the inbox and no calling or SMS, while lemlist has in-app calling, SMS and WhatsApp as channels you can put in a sequence, so lemlist is ahead here. lemlist has in-app calling, SMS and WhatsApp as channels you can put in a sequence. Warmerly has WhatsApp for conversations in the inbox, and no calling or SMS. WhatsApp campaign steps are not yet launchable in Warmerly, so today it is a way to talk, not a way to run outreach. lemlist's calling is on Multichannel, with 400 minutes per user a month on Multichannel Expert according to a help article. lemlist's pricing page shows WhatsApp as an add-on with no price; a help article says $20 per seat a month. What each product can add to a sequence
Warmerly has no calling or SMS. lemlist's pricing page shows no WhatsApp add-on price; a help article says $20 per seat a month.
Warmerly, in detail.
WhatsApp only: you link your own number by QR code, talk to people from the inbox, and add extra numbers as slots. Campaign WhatsApp steps cannot launch yet. No calling and no SMS.
WhatsApp numbers as slots
An extra WhatsApp number is $6 a month, sold as a slot that stacks on a plan's included allowance. The plans include 0 numbers on Starter, 2 on Growth and 8 on Agency.

Linking a number
You link your own WhatsApp number by scanning a QR code from Linked Devices, the same way you link WhatsApp on a computer. The screen shows how many numbers are in use and offers to buy a slot when the covered ones are taken.

Inbox conversations
Once linked, WhatsApp conversations appear in the same inbox as email and LinkedIn. You can reply there or start a new message from the compose window by choosing WhatsApp and typing a phone number. Old one-to-one chats are brought in once after linking. Group chats and broadcast lists are not imported.

Campaign WhatsApp steps cannot launch yet
The sequence editor lets you add a WhatsApp step, but there is no way to choose which number a campaign sends from. The launch checklist fails with a message that WhatsApp sending is not available for campaigns yet, and the campaign cannot start until the step is removed.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Built-in pacing, and no warmup
The engine ramps a number from 5 messages on its first sending day, adding 3 a day up to 40. Warmerly does not call this warmup, because WhatsApp keeps no reputation score to build. The ramp applies to campaign messages, which cannot launch yet, so today it matters mostly as a limit on the number.

Calling and SMS
We found neither in Warmerly. There is no dialer, no call logging and no SMS step.

lemlist, in detail.
Calling, SMS and WhatsApp are all sequence channels, with their own numbers, credits and rules. Each has its own limits and costs, spread over several help articles.
In-app calling and dialer
Multichannel lists a built-in call dialer and VoIP integrations. A help article says in-app calling needs Multichannel Expert or Enterprise and is not available during the free trial.

Calling minutes
Multichannel Expert includes 400 calling minutes per user per month and Enterprise 800. Extra minutes are bought from Call settings with credits, at 4 credits per billed minute, and top-up minutes roll over.

Four destination tiers
Basic is times 1 (under $0.06 a minute, for example France, the UK and the USA), Standard times 2 (under $0.15), Global times 4 (under $0.30) and Premium times 8 (over $0.30, for example South Africa). Billed minutes are the call length rounded up to a full minute, multiplied by the tier. A 1-minute call to South Africa deducts 8 minutes.

Numbers to call from
You can connect your own personal number from 31 listed countries, one per account at a time, or buy a number in countries including the USA, France, the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Ireland and the Netherlands. Some need business documents, and Belgium and Spain are ordered manually. The only purchase price stated is $15 a month for a Spanish number.

SMS
Each SMS costs 6 credits, on top of a $15 a month phone number fee. A message can be up to 320 characters. lemlist recommends around 10 SMS a day and sets a maximum of 30. Numbers that send SMS can be bought in the United Kingdom, the United States and the Netherlands. US numbers must be registered first. lemlist does not track SMS opens.

WhatsApp, as an add-on
A help article says WhatsApp is available only on Multichannel Expert and Enterprise, as an add-on at $20 per seat per month with no free trial. Up to 5 WhatsApp numbers can connect to one user, and each connected number needs its own seat. Only personal WhatsApp accounts work, and WhatsApp Business accounts are not supported.

WhatsApp health and warm-up
Each account has a health score from 0 to 100 with four levels: Danger, Risk, Watch and OK. A help article says warm-up is required and takes 2 to 4 weeks, with an increment and a daily cap you set. A temporary Meta ban blocks campaign outreach to new contacts for 7 days while the inbox keeps working.

Calls inside the sequence
The help centre covers Aircall and Ringover integrations, calling from a task queue and logging outcomes, call recordings with transcripts and AI insights, and a Calls CSV export with the country multiplier and billed minutes.

What lemlist does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- The WhatsApp add-on price on the pricing page itself: it lists the add-on with no figure, and only a help article gives $20 per seat a month.
- Which plan includes SMS: the pricing page lists it under Multichannel, while the SMS article names no plan.
- The cost of a credit in money, so the real price of an SMS or an extra calling minute cannot be worked out from these pages.
- Purchase prices for numbers outside Spain, and call recording storage limits.
- What triggers a temporary Meta ban on WhatsApp.
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- lemlist's pricing page shows the WhatsApp add-on with no price, while a help article on connecting WhatsApp says $20 per seat per month.
- lemlist's pricing page lists SMS automation under Multichannel, while the SMS help article names no plan and the plan-choice article does not mention SMS.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Phone-first selling
If your reps call prospects, lemlist can log calls from the sequence queue. Warmerly cannot.
WhatsApp only
Warmerly's WhatsApp numbers are cheap to add, but they serve the inbox, not a campaign. lemlist's add-on price was not on its pricing page.
Five WhatsApp numbers for one person
On lemlist's help article price, five numbers on one user need five seats at $20, which is $100 a month before the plan itself. On Warmerly, a Growth plan includes 2 numbers, and 3 more at $6 come to $18 a month. Warmerly's numbers talk in the inbox. lemlist's numbers can also run a campaign step.
A calling day with arithmetic
A rep on Multichannel Expert has 400 minutes a month. Calls to the UK or USA sit in the Basic tier at times 1, so 400 one-minute calls fit. The same minutes spent on a Global tier country count times 4, so 100 one-minute calls use the whole allowance.
Testing SMS
Sending the 10 SMS a day that lemlist recommends for 20 days is 200 messages, which is 1,200 credits at 6 each, plus $15 for the number. The article gives no money price for a credit, so we cannot turn that into dollars.
Meta ban risk
lemlist's temporary Meta ban stops campaign outreach to new contacts for 7 days. If you rely on WhatsApp as one step of a three-step sequence, plan what the sequence does while the channel is blocked.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- WhatsApp conversations in the same inbox as email and LinkedIn are all you need.
- You want an inexpensive way to add numbers at $6 each.
- You do not call or text prospects, and do not want to pay for those channels.
- You want your own WhatsApp number linked by QR code, with sending paced automatically.
lemlist is the better fit if
- You want calls, SMS and WhatsApp in one sequence.
- You want call recording and transcripts in the same tool.
- Your reps work from a call queue and log outcomes against each lead.
- You want WhatsApp as a campaign step, with a health score and enforced warm-up.
Does Warmerly do calling or SMS?
No. Warmerly has WhatsApp, with extra numbers at $6 a month. lemlist has in-app calling, SMS and a WhatsApp add-on.
Can I run WhatsApp outreach campaigns in Warmerly?
Not yet. You can link a number and talk from the inbox. A campaign with a WhatsApp step fails the launch check until the step is removed, because a campaign cannot yet be given a number to send from.
How much does lemlist's WhatsApp cost?
Its pricing page lists WhatsApp automation as an add-on and shows no price. A help article about connecting WhatsApp says $20 per seat per month, and each connected number needs its own seat.
How are lemlist's calling minutes counted?
Calls are rounded up to a full minute and multiplied by a destination tier of 1, 2, 4 or 8. Multichannel Expert includes 400 minutes per user a month, and more can be bought with credits at 4 credits per billed minute.
Does lemlist support WhatsApp Business accounts?
Its connect article says only personal WhatsApp accounts work and that WhatsApp Business accounts are not supported.
