Warm-up and daily limits, in one look.
Warmerly ramps each action on its own curve to 10 invitations a day and 50 a week on a standard account. Closely warms a LinkedIn account from 3 to 5 requests a day in the first week and 8 to 11 in the second, and says LinkedIn's own limit is about 100 connection requests a week. Drawn side by side.
Connection requests a day
The first 15 days, standard account
- Warmerly: 5, then 6, then 8, then 10 a day
- Closely: the top and bottom of its stated range
Closely publishes two weeks and says and so on. Both are ceilings, not promises: LinkedIn's own limits decide, and Closely adds that LinkedIn sets about 100 connection requests a week.
Weekly cap
Connection requests a week
50 a week on a standard account
- LinkedIn's weekly cap, per Closely: 50 a week, or 100 on Premium
- Custom limits: Lower caps only, never higher
100 a week, LinkedIn's limit
- LinkedIn's weekly cap, per Closely: 100 a week
- Custom limits: Only with warm-up off
Warmerly's Premium cap is 100 a week. Closely says there is no limit on its side.
Warmerly, in detail.
Each action type ramps on its own curve from the day the account is connected, inside a fixed daily budget that warmup and campaigns share. You can lower the caps but not raise them.
Invitations ramp on their own, faster curve
A standard account sends 5 invitations a day on days 1 to 3, 6 a day on days 4 to 7, 8 a day on days 8 to 14 and the full 10 a day from day 15. The weekly cap ramps the same way: 25, 30, 40, then 50. Premium accounts have a ceiling of 20 a day and 100 a week.

Everything else ramps at 20, 35, 55, 75 and 100 per cent
Profile views, reactions, comments, messages and posts ramp over days 1 to 3, 4 to 7, 8 to 14, 15 to 21 and 22 on. Our arithmetic from the caps: profile views 8, 14, 22, 30 then 40 a day; reactions 4, 7, 11, 15 then 20; messages 10, 17, 27, 37 then 50; comments 1, 1, 2, 3 then 5; posts 0, 0, 1, 1 then 2.

What counts as a day
The ramp counts from the larger of the warmup days completed and the calendar age of the connection, so an account used only for campaigns still climbs with time. A new connection starts with warmup paused until you switch it on.

A safety pause
If a failure looks like a restriction, a checkpoint or a rate limit, the account's warmup is paused with the reason and stays paused until someone turns it back on.

Not seen live at the time of the doc
Warmerly's own LinkedIn doc recorded on 12 October 2026 that no warmup job had yet run in production, and that posting, reacting and commenting were read from the provider's docs and not exercised live. We did not re-test it.

Warmup is off until you switch it on
A new LinkedIn connection starts with warmup paused. You turn on Run warmup automatically and fill in post and comment guidelines, topics and industries so the activity fits your profile. A day only counts towards warmup's own ramp when warmup actually ran on it.

Resting states
Warmup also does not run when the account is disconnected, its slot is past due or has ended, or the workspace is billing-locked or suspended. Pausing for a restriction, checkpoint, rate limit or invalid session needs you to fix the cause and switch warmup on again.

Closely, in detail.
Closely's warm-up is an optional setting that raises activity gradually, and limits are slightly randomised each day.
The warm-up ramp it states
Warm-up is optional and on by default. Its example: for the first week 3 to 5 requests a day, 8 to 11 for the second, and so on. It does not give the length of the warm-up or numbers beyond week two.

LinkedIn's weekly limit
Its help article says LinkedIn sets a limit of 100 connection requests a week, that your SSI score and Premium or Simple profile affect it, and that there is no limit on Closely's side. The article is dated 18 February 2022.

Custom limits only without warm-up
You can set your own daily limit only if you turn warm-up off. The daily number is slightly randomised: plus or minus 1 for limits of 9 or below, 2 for 10 to 30, 3 above 30.

Safety guidance
Its safeguard article recommends a warm-up of at least one month, one campaign at a time on a new account, and a daily connection limit of up to 30 for well-established accounts only. It dates from 12 September 2023.

After a restriction
If LinkedIn restricts the account, cut back outreach for at least a month after the restriction ends.

Dates matter here
The warm-up article is dated 26 November 2025, the daily limits article 13 May 2024, the safeguard article 12 September 2023 and the weekly request article 18 February 2022.

Limits differ by account
The warm-up article says limits can differ between accounts depending on previous activity, with one example account having no earlier campaigns and so lower limits. The actual values are in screenshots, so we cannot quote them.

Rapid spikes
If you turn warm-up off to set limits by hand, the article warns that LinkedIn dislikes rapid spikes in activity. Unsent follow-ups roll over to the next day.

Behaviour advice
Do not run the account on separate devices during active outreach, do not sync it while other tools run active campaigns on it, and personalise invites and messages. Closely gives no source for its numbers and says LinkedIn's policies may change.

What Closely does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- A published default for daily connection requests or messages
- A limit for profile views or likes
- A statement of how a restriction is detected
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Closely's 2022 article says LinkedIn's limit is 100 a week, while its 2023 safeguard article says up to 30 a day for established accounts; the two are not reconciled.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Closely publishes a start, not an end
Two weeks of ramp are stated and the rest is not. Warmerly's whole ramp is in its code and shown on the page.
The two ramps are close in week one
Closely says 3 to 5 a day and Warmerly sends 5 a day on days 1 to 3.
Neither tool can promise safety
LinkedIn's own rules and your profile's health decide what is safe, and both vendors say as much in their own words.
A month of requests, summed
On a standard Warmerly account the invitation ramp is 5 a day for 3 days, 6 for 4 days, 8 for 7 days and 10 from day 15. Over the first 14 days that is at most 15 + 24 + 56 = 95 invitations, and fewer once the weekly cap of 25, 30 and 40 applies. Closely's two stated weeks are 3 to 5 a day then 8 to 11, which is 21 to 35 plus 56 to 77, so 77 to 112 over 14 days. Neither is a promise, and weekends run lower.
A limit of 5 is not exactly 5
Closely says a limit of 5 can send 4 to 6 on a given day, and a limit of 10 can send 8 to 12. Plan around the top of the range if you are close to LinkedIn's own weekly limit.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want the whole ramp shown, with a named ceiling
- You want caps you can lower but not raise
- You want warmup to stay paused until you switch it on
Closely is the better fit if
- You want a warm-up you can switch off and set your own limits
- You want a stated one-month warm-up guide
- You want its guidance to keep limits low for at least a month on a new account
How does Closely warm up a LinkedIn account?
Warm-up is on by default. Its help article gives 3 to 5 requests a day in the first week and 8 to 11 in the second, then says and so on without further numbers.
How many connection requests can I send a week?
Closely's help article says LinkedIn sets about 100 a week and that Closely adds no limit of its own. Warmerly caps a standard account at 50 a week, and Premium at 100.
Is Closely's warm-up always on?
Its daily limits article says warm-up is enabled by default, and you can turn it off to set your own limits. The warm-up article recommends it for fresh accounts.
Does Warmerly's LinkedIn warmup start by itself?
No. A new connection starts with warmup paused and you switch it on yourself. It restarts only when you turn it back on after a safety pause.
