Where the data comes from
What each side lists
Warmerly has no phone finder and no post or event exports.
Warmerly, in detail.
Companies from Warmerly's own database found by sentence or filter, an email finder and a verifier with monthly allowances by plan, and a LinkedIn people search that needs a connected account. Searching is free, and only exports, added leads and found addresses are counted. There is no phone finder.
Search a company database in plain words
Lead finder turns a sentence such as 'dental practices in the UK' into filters, shows the matching companies, and lets you export a CSV or add them to a campaign. Searching is free. Only exporting and adding leads to a campaign use your monthly lead allowance. The AI step never touches the database: it only produces filters.

An email finder
Email finder takes a company website, domain or LinkedIn URL, or a person's name plus their company. It shows the address with a status, a confidence score and how it was found. A lookup counts against the monthly allowance only when an address is actually found.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
An email verifier
Email verification checks one address or a bulk list and answers Safe to send, Send with caution, Do not send or Unknown, with a confidence score and a plain reason. A standard check does not send a message to the address.

Allowances by plan
Verifications, email lookups and lead exports a month: Starter 5,000, 1,000 and 500; Growth 25,000, 10,000 and 5,000; Agency 150,000, 100,000 and 50,000. The Free plan has 250 verifications, 50 email lookups and 100 lead exports.

LinkedIn search for named people
A second tab, LinkedIn search, searches LinkedIn itself for named people using your own connected LinkedIn account and a Warmerly LinkedIn slot. That is a paid add-on at $19 a month per account. Leads imported this way carry LinkedIn member ids.

Import your own list
A CSV of your own leads can be imported into a campaign, so a list exported from another tool (including a LinkedIn tool) can be emailed from warmed mailboxes. The guide is the help article on importing leads from a CSV.

What the three allowances mean in practice
On Starter, 1,000 lookups a month is about 33 a day over a 30 day month, and 500 lead exports is about 16 a day. Growth is 10,000 lookups (about 333 a day) and 5,000 exports. Our arithmetic from the plan limits.

Closely, in detail.
Closely's enrichment is a credit system layered over its LinkedIn product: finders, scraping and AI agents start at Growth with 3,000 bonus credits a month, and exports from Sales Navigator, posts and events are on every plan. Its own pages disagree on what an email costs, and they do not say how an email is verified.
What is on which plan
Email finder, phone number finder, live LinkedIn scraping, AI personalisation, AI lead scoring and AI web research start at Growth. Exports from Sales Navigator, posts and events are on every plan.

Credit costs
A help article says a work email found costs 2 credits, a phone number 20 credits and AI lead scoring 1 or 5. Its pricing page says 3,000 credits is 750 emails, which is 4 credits an email.

How an email is found
A waterfall work email finder needs a first name, last name and a website or LinkedIn URL. The article mentions no verification step.

Data claims
Its data page says enrichment checks 30+ data points and quotes a 65% average phone match rate and 95%+ match rates. It does not explain verification.

Credits by plan
Its pricing page lists 3,000 bonus credits a month on Growth and 5,000 on Essential, shown as 750 or 1,250 emails, or 150 or 250 phone numbers, or 1,500 or 2,500 AI personalisations. Starter lists none. The page does not say whether the credits are one pool, or whether unused credits roll over.

Cost of each task
The help article on credits gives 2 credits for enrichment per contact, 2 for the waterfall work email finder, 20 for the waterfall phone number finder, and 1 credit (offline data) or 5 credits (web search) for AI lead scoring. It says credits are used by the type of task you run and that your balance shows on the Enrichment tab.

The email finder is its own step
The help article says the waterfall work email finder is a separate step in a campaign that needs a first name, last name and a website or LinkedIn URL. Found addresses appear in the Results section, and each successful email costs 2 credits. The article was written on 8 May 2025.

What the data page promises
The data enrichment page describes a waterfall of 30+ sources, where another source takes over if one fails, and says enrichment checks 30+ data points in real time. It names neither the sources nor the data points, and gives no method behind its 95%+ match rate, its 65% average phone match rate or its 41% rise in data accuracy.

Compliance wording
Its home page says its email finder and phone numbers are GDPR and CCPA aligned and claims real-time verification to cut bounces. It gives no detail of either.

Where leads can come from
Besides finders, a campaign can start from LinkedIn Search, Sales Navigator, Recruiter, posts, groups or a CSV file, with filters such as industry, job title and location. The My Network campaign type messages existing connections.

What Closely does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- What verified means for an email
- How phone numbers are verified
- Whether failed lookups are charged
- Which data sources sit in the waterfall
- Whether unused credits roll over
- Whether a lookup that finds nothing is charged
- What happens when credits run out mid-month
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- The pricing page works out to 4 credits per email, while a help article says 2 credits; the two figures do not agree.
- Its data page quotes both a 65% phone match rate and 95%+ match rates, and does not say which applies to phones.
Only what we could verify.
| Measure | Warmerly | Closely |
|---|---|---|
| Lead finding, data and exports | A company database, an email finder and verifier with monthly allowances by plan, plus LinkedIn people search. | Email and phone finders, live scraping and AI scoring from Growth; exports from Sales Navigator, posts and events on every plan. |
| Email finder | 1,000 lookups a month on Starter | From Growth, 3,000 credits a month |
| Phone number finder | Not included | From Growth |
| Exports from Sales Navigator, posts and events | Not included | Every plan |
| Email verification | 5,000 verifications a month on Starter | Real-time verification claimed, method not described |
| Cost of one email | One lookup, counted when an address is found | 2 credits per a help article, 4 per the pricing page |
| Cost of a phone number | Not offered | 20 credits per contact, per a help article |
| What credits buy on Growth | Not a credit system: separate monthly allowances | 3,000 bonus credits a month, shown as 750 emails or 150 phones |
| Importing your own list | CSV import into a campaign | CSV is a listed lead source |
| AI lead scoring | Not offered as a scoring step | From Growth, 1 or 5 credits per contact |
What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Closely goes further on data
Phone numbers, scraping and exports from posts, groups and events are in its plans.
Warmerly separates finding from verifying
Lookups and verifications are separate monthly allowances, and a standard check does not message the address.
What 3,000 credits actually buys
On Closely's pricing page 3,000 credits is 750 emails. At the help article's 2 credits an email it would be 1,500, and at 20 credits a phone number it would be 150, which matches the page. So the page's email figure and the help article cannot both be right. If you plan to rely on email finding, ask Closely which one applies before you buy.
Finding 1,000 emails a month
On Starter, Warmerly gives 1,000 lookups a month, counted only when an address is found. At Closely's pricing page rate of 4 credits an email, 1,000 emails need 4,000 credits, which is more than Growth's 3,000 and fewer than Essential's 5,000. At the help article's 2 credits it would need 2,000. Closely's credits also pay for phones and AI work, so the pool is shared.
A list that is only emails
If your list is already named people with company websites, you need finding and verifying, not scraping. Warmerly's lookup finds the address and its verifier answers Safe to send, Send with caution, Do not send or Unknown with a reason. Closely's pages describe finding but not what verified means.
A list that has to be built from LinkedIn activity
If your best leads are people who liked a post or joined an event, Closely lists exports from posts and events on every plan. Warmerly has no export from posts or events. You would export elsewhere and import the CSV into a Warmerly campaign.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want email verification with a stated answer and reason
- You want a company database searched in plain words
- You want finding and verifying counted as separate monthly allowances, not a shared credit pool
- You already export lists from another tool and want to import the CSV
Closely is the better fit if
- You need phone numbers
- You want exports from Sales Navigator, posts and events
- You want live LinkedIn scraping and AI lead scoring in the same tool
- You want one credit balance to cover emails, phones and AI work
Does Closely have a phone number finder?
Yes, from Growth, per its pricing table. A help article says one phone number costs 20 credits.
Does Warmerly find phone numbers?
No. It has an email finder, an email verifier and a company database, and a LinkedIn people search with the add-on.
How many credits does a Closely email cost?
Its help article says 2 credits per found work email. Its pricing page says 3,000 credits is 750 emails, which is 4 credits each. The two do not agree, so ask Closely before you plan a budget on either.
Can Warmerly find emails from a LinkedIn URL?
Yes. The email finder takes a company website, a domain or a LinkedIn URL, or a person's name and company. It is counted against your monthly lookups only when an address is found.
Does Warmerly verify emails before sending?
It has a verifier that answers Safe to send, Send with caution, Do not send or Unknown, with a plain reason. A standard check does not send a message to the address. Allowances start at 5,000 a month on Starter.
