Email warmup, then cold email from the warmed mailboxes. LinkedIn is a paid add-on.
LinkedIn automation, with email steps in the same sequence.
Main job, in one look.
Warmerly is email first: it warms mailboxes, checks their DNS, then sends cold email from them, with LinkedIn as a $19 a month add-on for each account. Closely is LinkedIn automation first, with email steps, an email finder and a team layer around it, priced by LinkedIn account. They overlap on sequences that mix LinkedIn and email, so the useful question is which channel carries your outreach. Last checked 22 October 2026.
LinkedIn automation, with email steps in the same sequence.
Drawn side by side.
What each one starts with
The first four steps of a campaign
Both put LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence. They differ in which channel carries the weight.
The main channel
As each describes itself
Email first
- Main channel: Email, with LinkedIn as an add-on
- Email in the same sequence as LinkedIn: Yes
- Mailbox warmup: 4 a day on day 0 to 50 a day on day 30
LinkedIn first
- Main channel: LinkedIn, with email steps
- Email in the same sequence as LinkedIn: Yes, on every plan
- Mailbox warmup: Not a listed feature
Closely's pages list no mailbox warmup. Warmerly's LinkedIn is two steps in a campaign.
Warmerly, in detail.
Warmerly's main job is email: warm a mailbox over 30 days, keep its DNS and blocklist status checked, then send cold email sequences from it. LinkedIn is a paid add-on that plugs into the same sequences.
It starts with the mailbox
Warmup mail between real mailboxes ramps from 4 a day on day 0 to 50 a day on day 30, with lower ceilings for Gmail (40), Outlook (30) and Zoho (25). A mailbox only does campaign work on top of that ramp.

Then campaigns and sequences
A sequence is made of email steps, wait steps, LinkedIn connection and message steps, and condition steps that branch on opened, clicked, replied or timeout. A campaign sends at most 30 emails a day from a mailbox by default and runs pre-launch checks before it starts (13 kinds are listed in the code).

DNS and blocklists are watched
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX are checked every six hours for each mailbox, with a written fix when one fails. Sixteen blocklists are checked on the same schedule.

LinkedIn is an add-on, not the core
Each connected LinkedIn account is $19 a month, charged at once with no trial and no refund. Packs are 3 accounts for $49 and 5 for $75. It runs through a hosted provider (LinkupAPI), and a customer can connect an account because the production switch was on when we read it on 15 October 2026.

Where Warmerly is narrower on LinkedIn
Warmerly's LinkedIn sequence steps are a connection request and a message. We found no step that visits a profile, follows, endorses or sends an InMail, and no signal that adds people from profile or company visits. Its LinkedIn depends on one hosted provider.

Who is it for
Teams whose meetings come from cold email and who need the sending mailboxes to be healthy. A free plan covers 1 mailbox with no card, Starter is $19 a month for 5 mailboxes, Growth $49 for 25 and Agency $179 for 100.

One inbox for replies
Replies from email and LinkedIn land in one queue with labels and a suggested reply, so a prospect who answers on either channel is handled in one place.

Email campaigns need little

Safety is a stated feature
It says it mimics real behaviour with smart limits, delays and human-like timing, and that LinkedIn replies pause a sequence. It also says it is not an official LinkedIn product. These are its own claims and it gives no evidence.

What Closely does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- An email mailbox warmup feature
- A statement of how many email steps one sequence can hold
- The length and card terms of the free trial
- Any customer count or sending volume
- Whether email can be sent without a LinkedIn account on the plan
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Closely's multichannel page calls its tool fully automated in one heading and semi-automated in another; we report neither as the whole truth.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
If LinkedIn is the job, start with Closely's pages, not ours
Closely is built around LinkedIn actions, conditions and a team layer. Warmerly's LinkedIn is two steps in a campaign.
If the email step is where replies come from, look at the mailbox
The email step is only as good as the mailbox sending it. Closely's own help article tells you to warm sending accounts with another tool.
Running both is possible
Keep LinkedIn steps in Closely and connect the sending mailbox to Warmerly to warm it and watch its DNS. Nothing needs migrating.
Five senders, two ways
Five LinkedIn accounts on Closely Essential cost $259 a month billed monthly, or $155 billed annually. On Warmerly the same five LinkedIn accounts are $75 a month as a pack, and 25 mailboxes on Growth are another $49, so $124 in total. Closely's price also includes finders, AI agents and a success manager, so these are not equal products.
One channel or two
A team that books meetings from LinkedIn and wants email as a follow-up fits Closely's shape. A team that books them from cold email and wants an occasional LinkedIn touch fits Warmerly's. If you cannot say which, count the replies from each channel over your last 90 days before choosing.
What breaks first
On a LinkedIn heavy plan the limit you meet is LinkedIn's own, about 100 connection requests a week, which Closely says it does not raise. On an email heavy plan it is the mailbox, which is why the sending mailboxes matter more to Warmerly's job than to Closely's.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- Cold email is your main channel and the mailboxes need warming
- You want one flat price for mailboxes instead of a price per LinkedIn account
- You want LinkedIn as a light add-on to email
- You want a free plan to try before paying anything
Closely is the better fit if
- LinkedIn is your main channel
- You want email and phone finding, LinkedIn exports and a white label offer in the same tool
- You want one plan to cover many connected email accounts
- You want native Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot or GoHighLevel sync
Is Warmerly a Closely alternative?
Only in part. Closely is LinkedIn automation first, with email steps in the same sequence. Warmerly is email first and offers LinkedIn as a paid add-on.
Does Closely do email?
Yes. Its pricing page lists email campaigns and an email-only campaign type, with Gmail, Outlook and SMTP and IMAP accounts. Its pages list no mailbox warmup.
Does Closely send cold email?
Yes. It has email steps inside a LinkedIn campaign and an email only campaign type that sends from your own address. Gmail, Outlook and SMTP accounts connect on every plan.
Which is cheaper for one LinkedIn account?
Warmerly's add-on is $19 a month for the account, plus an email plan if you want email, from $0 on Free. Closely Starter is $65 monthly, or $39 billed annually. Closely's price includes inbox, analytics and CRM sync.
Can I run both tools?
Yes. Keep LinkedIn campaigns in Closely and connect the sending mailboxes to Warmerly to warm them and watch their DNS. Nothing needs to be moved.
