One-to-one · How LinkedIn connects

How LinkedIn connects

One row, in depth: what each tool does, the verified numbers, and who each suits.

Waalaxy details read from its pricing page, home page, feature pages, docs and help centre on 21 October 2026.

Warmerly

You sign in through Warmerly; the connection runs through a hosted third-party service.

Waalaxy

A cloud connection with two-factor login, so actions run with your computer off.

The short answer

How LinkedIn connects, in one look.

Warmerly signs you in to LinkedIn through its own page, and the connection runs through a hosted third-party service. Waalaxy says its Infinite Login keeps actions running with your computer off, by signing in with your LinkedIn email, password and a two-factor secret. Both store access to your LinkedIn account, so read each company's terms. Last checked 22 October 2026.

Both hold access to your LinkedIn account on a hosted service. Warmerly's own doc says an account can show as disconnected when its provider has a problem.

How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

Warmerly connects your LinkedIn account through a hosted service, so an account can show as disconnected when that service has a problem.

01

Sign in through Warmerly

You sign in to LinkedIn through Warmerly, and the connection runs through a hosted third-party service called LinkupAPI.

02

Disconnections can come from the provider

An account can show as disconnected when that service has a problem. Warmerly's own doc says so.

03

A safety pause

If a failure looks like a restriction, a checkpoint or a rate limit, the account's warmup is paused with the reason, and stays paused until someone turns it back on.

04

Not seen live at the time of the doc

Warmerly's LinkedIn doc recorded on 12 October 2026 that some warmup actions had been read from the provider's docs and not exercised live. We did not re-test it.

05

Connection status is watched

A job lists the connected accounts every 15 minutes and marks any that is checkpoint required or disconnected, and the Accounts page re-checks a non-active account on load.

06

Reconnecting means adding it again

The hosted service keeps no password Warmerly can use to sign in again, so a disconnected account is reconnected by adding it again from Accounts, and the same member updates the same row rather than taking a second slot.

07

Replies arrive by polling

No webhook is registered. A job reads the inbox every 3 minutes for each active account, so a LinkedIn reply can take a few minutes to appear.

08

One account, one LinkedIn profile

An account is one LinkedIn profile, and a profile is identified by its member id everywhere, so a lead found by search, a contact who replies and a profile we fetch are the same person.

How Waalaxy does it

Waalaxy, in detail.

Waalaxy describes a cloud connection with two-factor login.

04

Its own safety wording

Its LinkedIn page says Waalaxy is designed to respect LinkedIn usage limits and runs actions progressively. That is the vendor's own claim.

What Waalaxy does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • Whether a browser must stay open for other connection routes
  • Where the LinkedIn session or credentials are stored. Its use of data page does not mention LinkedIn credentials.
  • Whether a dedicated IP or proxy is used for each account
  • What happens to a session when LinkedIn asks for a checkpoint

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Read the terms

Handing a tool your LinkedIn login is a decision for you and your company. Neither vendor can promise what LinkedIn will do with an account, and automation can breach LinkedIn's rules.

2

Reliability

A hosted connection means both products depend on a service that can fail. Warmerly says so in its own doc.

3

Handing over access

Both approaches mean a third party can act on your LinkedIn account. Read each company's terms and decide whether you accept that for the account you use.

4

Using a spare account

Neither tool can promise LinkedIn will accept the activity on your account, so think about what you would lose if it were restricted before you connect it.

5

When it disconnects

On Warmerly, add the account again from Accounts. On Waalaxy, repeat the Infinite Login steps, with your authenticator.

6

Ask about the session

Ask each vendor how long a LinkedIn session lasts and what happens when it ends, because neither page we read says. That is the question that decides how often you reconnect.

Who it suits

Pick the one that fits.

Warmerly

Warmerly is the better fit if

  • You want to see in plain words that the connection depends on a hosted service
  • You do not need LinkedIn as your main channel
  • You would rather not manage a two-factor secret key
Waalaxy

Waalaxy is the better fit if

  • You want actions to run with your computer off, with a documented two-factor set-up
  • You want an authenticator route for agencies
  • You want the connection described step by step, with an agency route
