How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

A health score that pauses a failing mailbox and resumes it automatically after a cooldown.

01

Pause on poor health

A mailbox whose health stays below 60 for 2 days is paused automatically, and the event is recorded.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

02

Automatic resume

A health-paused mailbox is resumed automatically after a 3-day cooldown. A mailbox paused by its owner, or one that needs reconnecting, is not touched.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

03

What it does to sending

Warmup, pairing and campaign sending use only active or warming mailboxes, so a paused mailbox drops out of all three.

04

Where Warmerly is behind

We found no code that swaps a spare mailbox into a campaign when one is paused, and no groups of interchangeable mailboxes.

05

A bounce brake before any pause

Warmerly reads each mailbox's bounce rate over 7 days, once it has 25 sends. Below 2% nothing changes. From 2% the daily campaign cap is cut to 75%, then 50%, then 25%, never below 1 a day.

06

Off campaigns at 7%, warmup carries on

At a 7% bounce rate the mailbox is taken off campaigns and the owner gets an email. The mailbox shows a Recovering badge, warmup keeps running, and it returns to campaigns by itself once its health score is back up.

07

The score is built from warmup mail

The 0 to 100 health score is recalculated daily from 7 days of warmup mail. About half is the share that reached the inbox, a fifth is few bounces, 15% is replies and 15% is mail delivered and found. It is not a promise about your cold email.

How QuickMail does it

QuickMail, in detail.

Daily checks that replace low-scoring inboxes with healthy ones from the same colour group.

02

The threshold

By default an account is swapped out if its deliverability score falls below 60% or it has lost permission. It is replaced by a group member scoring 60% or more. If none qualifies, the original stays.

04

What the score is made of

The score uses detected opens and the MailFlow confidence score over the past ten days. It does not appear if volume is too low or the inbox has sent for under 10 days, and open tracking must be on.

help.quickmail.com/deliverability/deliverability-ai · read 21 October 2026

05

Paused inboxes are not swapped

It says paused email accounts will not be swapped. Swapping needs open tracking on, and an inbox in a group that has no qualified replacement stays where it is.

06

Recovery can be ended by hand

To use a swapped inbox again you re-assign it to the campaign and remove it from its Smart Sending Group, which takes it out of recovery mode. The recovery length can be changed.

07

Settings live on each inbox

The score threshold and recovery period are set under Sending Settings on each inbox. Its API also sets the daily limit, recovery period and sending groups.

What QuickMail does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • How accurate the score is
  • The exact formula behind the Deliverability Index
  • Whether Deliverability AI is on every plan or only some

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • Its deliverability page says Deliverability AI analyses hundreds of data points daily, while its help page says the index is based on detected opens and the MailFlow confidence score over ten days. We describe the help page.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Pausing and swapping are different

Warmerly stops a failing mailbox. QuickMail keeps the campaign moving by swapping in another inbox from the same group, provided one scores 60% or more.

2

A score needs data

QuickMail shows no score for an inbox that has sent for under 10 days or sends little. Warmerly scores health from warmup activity too.

3

Check the opens dependency

QuickMail's score uses detected opens, and open tracking must be on. Check that open tracking suits your sending before you rely on the score.

4

Swapping does not fix a bad list

A swap moves sends to another inbox. If the cause is a bad list, the next inbox soon looks the same. Warmerly's checks work the other way round: they judge the campaign first, then the mailbox, so a bad list stops a campaign before it burns every sender.

5

Where QuickMail's swap helps

If you rotate many inboxes and one drifts, a swap keeps the campaign moving without you. Warmerly pauses or slows that mailbox and the others carry the campaign, but it does not bring a spare in.

6

Read the score for what it is

Both scores are inputs, not verdicts. QuickMail's rests on detected opens, which tracking can distort, and Warmerly's rests on warmup traffic inside its own network, so a placement test of a real message is the cross-check.
