Inbox placement testing

One row, in depth: what each tool does, the verified numbers, and who each suits.

Mystrika details read from Internet Archive copies of its own pages (home page 11 October 2026, product and use-case pages 10 July 2026, help centre and tools pages from 2024 to 2026), because mystrika.com refused automated reads on 22 October 2026.

The short answer

Inbox placement testing, in one look.

Warmerly runs a placement test you can start yourself: one message from the mailbox to up to 4 targets, checked in Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk and scored 100, 60, 10 or 0. It also says plainly that today the targets are its own warmup mailboxes, so the result carries a Limited accuracy note. Mystrika lists a daily deliverability status on every plan and publishes placement claims, but we found no description of a test, a seed list or what the status is made of. Last checked 22 October 2026.

The example starts at two inbox results, one Promotions and one spam, which gives 67.5. A test run on Warmerly's own warmup mailboxes would usually score near 100, which is why the app labels it Limited accuracy.

How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

Warmerly's placement test is a real mechanism with a stated method, a monthly allowance and a stated weakness. It sends a message, looks for it over IMAP and scores where it landed. The weakness is the target list: no dedicated seed mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo are in production yet.

01

What one test does

The runner picks up to 4 targets, 2 at the sender's own provider and 2 at another, and sends one message from the mailbox's own SMTP with a subject that carries a unique token. After a wait it opens each target over IMAP and searches Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk for that token. The wait is 30 seconds for a test you start and 90 seconds in the daily sweep.

02

How the score is worked out

Each target scores 100 for the inbox, 60 for Promotions, 10 for spam and 0 for missing, and the test score is the average. As an example of arithmetic on those numbers, two inbox results, one Promotions and one spam give (100 + 100 + 60 + 10) / 4 = 67.5. The score is a placement measure for that one message at that moment, not a promise about the next campaign.

03

On demand, and once a day for some

A test started from a mailbox's Health tab holds the request open and returns in about 45 to 60 seconds with four targets. A daily sweep tests up to 5 accounts per run and skips any account tested in the last 24 hours. A run left in the running state for more than 20 minutes is marked failed, so a crash does not leave a test pending forever.

04

A monthly allowance, shown per plan

Placement tests are metered: 3 a month on Free, 5 on Starter, 25 on Growth and 100 on Agency. Warmup sends are not metered.

05

The weakness, stated in the code and in the app

There are three possible target sources. Dedicated seed mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo come first and none is enabled in production. Consenting mailboxes of other customers in the warmup network are a second option, built but switched off by default. The third is Warmerly's own warmup mailboxes, which accept almost everything, so a run that uses them scores near 100 whatever the sender's real reputation is. The account page shows a Limited accuracy note on such a result. The document recording this was last checked on 15 October 2026.

06

A weak test never touches the health score

A degraded run returns before it writes health data. If it did write, a two-mailbox sample would overwrite the day's real sent, inbox and spam counts and the inflated score would raise the mailbox's warmup quota. Degraded rows are also kept out of the spam placement figure and, in the same way, out of the trend: a change is reported only when the two latest tests are the same kind.

07

The real-seed option and its guard rails

The switch is PLACEMENT_REAL_SEEDS, off by default. If turned on, targets must be consenting, customer-connected Gmail or Outlook mailboxes in healthy warmup, never the sender's own workspace, at most one per customer per run, with caps of 2 per customer and 2 per mailbox per rolling 24 hours. The lookup fetches only the Message-ID header of the test message. The documentation says the option has not been run against production.

08

A refund promise tied to the test history

The 30-day inbox guarantee on paid outreach plans refunds a month's plan fee if a mailbox warming continuously for 30 days shows no placement improvement between its first test and one on or after day 30, with conditions. There is no automated claim flow: support checks the test history by hand. Given the limits above, this guarantee is only as strong as the tests behind it.

How Mystrika does it

Mystrika, in detail.

Mystrika talks about inbox placement in outcomes: a daily deliverability status on every plan, claims about improvement and a guarantee line in its footer. The pages we read describe no placement test, no seed list and no breakdown by provider, and they do not say what the status is made of.

01

Daily deliverability status on every plan

The plan lists show Daily deliverability status on the Free Forever plan and on Growth, with the paid plans above it inheriting everything from Growth. The tooltip beside it reads Email Reputation Monitoring. The page does not say whether the status is a number, a colour or a message, or which signals feed it.

02

Placement stated as an outcome

The home page and its FAQ promise better placement within a stated number of days and print a guarantee line under the sign-up buttons. We do not repeat the figures, because the pages show no test, sample or condition behind them. The same page says a customer can prove inbox lift with real outreach on the free plan, which puts the measuring in the customer's hands.

03

The warmup page is more careful

Mystrika's July 2026 warmup page says that warmup helps reputation but that list quality, copy, volume and domain setup still matter, and says it gives controls for the whole system. That is a fair statement and it fits how any placement number should be read.

04

Rotation and volume controls

The home page lists IP and domain rotation that reduces throttling risk, automatic volume rotation that keeps warm inboxes healthy, and warmup tuned to domain age and reputation. These are controls that act on sending rather than ways to measure where a message landed. The page does not explain how rotation picks a mailbox.

05

Provider Match, from Dominate

Provider Match, in the Dominate plan list, matches sending mailboxes to the prospect's email provider. The 2024 lifetime-deal page gives the reasoning in Mystrika's own words: mail from Google to Google and Microsoft to Microsoft goes through fewer filters than cross-delivery. That is Mystrika's claim and we did not test it.

06

A spam test for templates

The home page FAQ says imported templates are run through a spam test that looks at deliverability factors and suggests improvements. That checks copy before sending, which is different from checking where a sent message landed.

web.archive.org/web/20261011203858/https://mystrika.com · read 2026-10-22 (Internet Archive copy of 2026-10-11)

07

A success percentage in 2024

A 2024 warmup page says the dashboard shows a Success % metric for each mailbox every day, meant to show when a mailbox is ready. The 2026 plan lists use the words daily deliverability status instead, and we cannot say whether they are the same thing.

08

Pools split by provider

The 2024 lifetime-deal page describes placement through warmup pools grouped as an AOL and Yahoo pool, a Google and Microsoft pool and a pool for all other providers. It describes where warmup mail is exchanged, not a test of a campaign message.

What Mystrika does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • A placement test you can start, or a description of how any placement figure is measured
  • A seed list, or the providers a test would send to
  • What the daily deliverability status is made of, or how it is drawn
  • A breakdown of results by Inbox, Promotions and Spam
  • The sample size or conditions behind its improvement and guarantee claims
  • A monthly allowance for tests, because no test is described
  • How Provider Match decides which mailbox sends to which prospect
  • Whether the 2024 Success % metric still exists

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • Mystrika's 2024 warmup page describes a Success % metric per mailbox, while its 2026 plan lists say daily deliverability status. We cannot tell whether they are the same thing.
  • Mystrika's home page offers a guarantee line and improvement claims, but its warmup page of July 2026 says warmup cannot fix list quality, copy, volume or domain setup. We report both.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Treat a Warmerly score as a smoke test today

Because the targets are Warmerly's own mailboxes, a score near 100 does not prove Gmail or Outlook will accept your campaign. A low score, on the other hand, is worth reading: it means even friendly mailboxes did not take the message. Use the folder detail, not only the average.

2

Measure with your own recipients

The most direct placement check is to send to a few mailboxes you control at Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo and look in each folder. It costs nothing and it works with either tool. Mystrika's free-plan pitch, to prove inbox lift with real outreach, comes to the same thing.

3

Ask for the definition behind any status

When a tool shows a daily status, ask what it counts: spam complaints, bounces, folder placement or something else. Mystrika's pages do not say, and Warmerly's health score and its placement test are separate numbers with separate rules.

4

Do not compare a score to a claim

A placement figure from a test and a placement claim in marketing copy are different kinds of thing. The first has a method you can read. The second has none that we could find on Mystrika's pages, so do not put them side by side in a spreadsheet.

5

Using the 30-day guarantee properly

The Warmerly guarantee compares a mailbox's first test with one taken on or after day 30. Run the first test before you start warming and keep the history, because support checks it by hand. Remember the accuracy limit: a first test that already scores high leaves little room to show improvement.

Questions
Does Mystrika have an inbox placement test?

We found none. Its pages list a daily deliverability status, with the tooltip Email Reputation Monitoring, a spam test for imported templates and a warmup Success % metric in 2024, but no test that sends a message and reports where it landed (Internet Archive copies read 22 October 2026).

How does Warmerly test inbox placement?

It sends one message from your mailbox to up to 4 targets, 2 at the same provider and 2 at another, checks Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk over IMAP and scores 100, 60, 10 or 0 for each, then averages. A test you start takes about 45 to 60 seconds.

Is Warmerly's placement score accurate?

Not yet fully. No dedicated seed mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo are enabled in production, so tests use Warmerly's own warmup mailboxes, which accept almost everything. The account page shows a Limited accuracy note, and such a run never changes the health score.

How many placement tests do I get?

3 a month on Free, 5 on Starter, 25 on Growth and 100 on Agency. A daily sweep also tests up to 5 accounts per run.
