Main job, in one look.
Warmerly's main job is email: warm a mailbox, keep its DNS checked, then send cold email from it, with LinkedIn as a paid add-on at $19 an account. Octopus CRM is a LinkedIn automation tool that runs as a Chrome extension, doing connection requests, bulk messages, profile visits and skill endorsements from a list in its own CRM page. If LinkedIn is the whole job and you want the lowest price, Octopus CRM is the closer fit. If email is the job, or you want both channels in one sequence, look at Warmerly. What each is built around
The product's own description of itself
Email first, LinkedIn as an add-on
- Main channel: Email, with LinkedIn as an add-on
- Actions in a LinkedIn campaign: 2: a connection request and a message
LinkedIn only, from a Chrome extension
- Main channel: LinkedIn only
- Actions in a LinkedIn campaign: 4: connect, message, visit, endorse
Octopus CRM's own pages call it a LinkedIn automation tool. Warmerly's LinkedIn is a paid add-on at $19 an account.
One prospect, two tools
A sample order of steps, as each product describes its own
A sample order, not a recommended cadence. Octopus CRM's pages list no mailbox warmup and no email steps.
Warmerly, in detail.
Warmerly's main job is email: warm a mailbox over 30 days, keep its DNS and blocklist status checked, then send cold email sequences from it. LinkedIn is a paid add-on that plugs into the same sequences.
It starts with the mailbox
Warmup mail between real mailboxes ramps from 4 a day on day 0 to 50 a day on day 30, with lower ceilings for Gmail (40), Outlook (30) and Zoho (25). A mailbox only does campaign work on top of that ramp.

Then campaigns and sequences
A sequence is made of email steps, wait steps, LinkedIn connection and message steps, and condition steps that branch on opened, clicked, replied or timeout. A campaign sends at most 30 emails a day from a mailbox by default and runs pre-launch checks before it starts.

DNS and blocklists are watched
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX are checked every six hours for each mailbox, with a written fix when one fails. Sixteen blocklists are checked on a schedule of their own.

LinkedIn is an add-on, not the core
Each connected LinkedIn account is $19 a month, charged at once with no trial and no refund. Packs are 3 accounts for $49 and 5 for $75. It runs through a hosted provider, so nothing runs in your browser.

Where Warmerly is narrower on LinkedIn
Warmerly's LinkedIn sequence steps are a connection request and a message. We found no campaign step that visits a profile, endorses a skill, follows someone or sends an InMail, and no way to send connection requests by email. Its LinkedIn depends on one hosted provider.

A reply stops the sequence
A genuine reply stops that lead's sequence by default, and unsubscribes go on a workspace-wide suppression list that every step respects. LinkedIn replies land in the same inbox as email replies.

Octopus CRM, in detail.
Octopus CRM describes itself as a LinkedIn automation tool for prospecting and outreach. Its pages list four actions, a funnel builder, stats, a Connect by Email option, CSV import and export, Zapier and HubSpot, and Activity Control. We found no email sequences, warmup or inbox on its site.
It says what it is
The home page calls it a LinkedIn automation tool and says it helps to "automate LinkedIn accounts and simplify prospecting efforts". The footer describes it as an all-in-one marketing automation for marketers, owners and recruiters.

Four actions on a list
The home page lists personalised connection requests, bulk messages to 1st-level connections, automatic endorsement of up to 7 skills, and automatic profile visits. You add leads to a "connecting", "messaging", "visiting" or "endorsing" campaign and press launch.

A Chrome extension and a CRM page
Its blog says Octopus is a Google Chrome extension made of two parts: a pop-up window that moves profiles from LinkedIn into the CRM, and the CRM page where you work with them. The Chrome Web Store lists it as an extension in Social Networking.

Who it is for
The home page says it works best for business owners, marketing agencies, recruiters and sales teams, and that it works on LinkedIn Free, Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter (including Recruiter Lite) accounts.

Email appears in one place
The only email feature on its pages is Connect by Email, which sends connection requests by email so you can pass LinkedIn's weekly invite limit. The pages describe no email sequences, mailboxes or sending limits.

A paid add-on service beside the software
Alongside the extension it sells a LinkedIn profile makeover, which its terms treat as an additional service that is non-refundable. It also runs an affiliate programme.

What Octopus CRM does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Email sequences, mailbox connections or a sending limit for email
- Mailbox warmup or any deliverability check
- Whether the extension keeps working when Chrome is closed or the computer is off
- A reply inbox or a statement of what stops a sequence after a reply
- A list of its own integrations beyond Zapier and HubSpot
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- The home page says Octopus CRM works with Free, Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter accounts, while its plan cards list Premium and Recruiter as compatible only on the Unlimited tier (the other tiers show Sales Navigator).

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Pick by the channel that brings the meetings
If most of your replies come from LinkedIn, Octopus CRM is built around that and starts at $9.99. If most come from cold email, the mailbox behind the email decides your results, and Octopus CRM does not touch it.
The two overlap on two actions only
Both can send a connection request and a message to a list. Beyond that they do different jobs, so a page that counted features would mislead you in both directions.
Running both is straightforward
Octopus works inside your browser session and Warmerly connects mailboxes, so neither needs the other. You can keep Octopus on LinkedIn and let Warmerly warm and send the email half.
Read the plan gates before you judge the price
The $9.99 entry tier does not include messaging or endorsements on its own pricing table. The price page on this site covers what each tier unlocks.
Pick the one that fits.

Octopus CRM is the better fit if
- LinkedIn is your main channel and email is handled elsewhere
