A connection request and a message in a sequence, plus warmup posts, reactions, comments and profile views.
Connection requests, bulk messages to 1st-level connections, profile visits and endorsing up to 7 skills.
LinkedIn actions, in one look.
Warmerly's campaign steps are a connection request and a message, with warmup activity (posts, reactions, comments and profile views) running separately on a ramp, and it adds AI-written messages and a rule that waits for a connection before it messages. Octopus CRM lists four actions you can run on a list: personalised connection requests, bulk messages to 1st-level connections, profile visits and skill endorsements, plus a Premium-only filter and a history that stops duplicates. On the number of actions you can aim at a list, Octopus CRM goes further. Last checked 21 October 2026.

Before a message
What each does so the person has seen your name
Warmerly checks acceptance every 6 hours and skips a lead 21 days after the invitation. Octopus CRM moves accepted users on through linked campaigns.
Warmerly, in detail.
Two LinkedIn campaign steps, a connection request and a message, sit in the same sequence as email, and a separate warmup runs five kinds of activity. Each message can optionally be written for one prospect by AI.
Two steps in a campaign
A campaign sequence can hold a LinkedIn connection step, a LinkedIn message step, wait steps and email steps. A ready-made LinkedIn then email template connects first, waits 2 days, then sends two emails.

Messages wait for the connection
LinkedIn only lets you message first-degree connections. Before a message step the engine looks at the lead's profile. If the invitation is still pending it re-checks every 6 hours without spending send budget, and it skips the lead if they are still not connected 21 days after the invitation.

Merge tags, and no note on the invitation by default
A step's text is rendered with merge tags such as the first name and the sender's first name. The guidance in the code is to leave a free account's invitation note empty, because LinkedIn gives free accounts only a handful of personalised notes a month, and to let the first message after acceptance carry the pitch.

Optional AI-written messages
Each LinkedIn message can be written for one prospect from their profile and recent posts, at 1 AI credit each, off by default. The text that was previewed is the text that is sent.

Warmup runs five kinds of activity
A separate warmup posts, reacts, comments, views profiles and sends invitations from the account's own topics, spread across 08:00 to 20:00 local time. A new connection starts with warmup paused until you switch it on. Warmerly's own doc recorded on 12 October 2026 that no warmup job had yet run in production.

Where Warmerly is behind
We found no campaign step that visits a profile, endorses skills, follows someone, likes a post or sends an InMail, and no Premium-only filter or connect-by-email option. Lists come from a company database, the email finder, a LinkedIn people search that needs a connected account, or a CSV that must have an Email column.

Octopus CRM, in detail.
Four action types, each with its own list and campaign, plus tools to clean the list. Everything is run from a CRM page after you send profiles to it from LinkedIn.
Connect
The Connect tab sends personalised connection requests to 2nd and 3rd level contacts. A message template sets the note, with First Name, Last Name, Company and Position buttons to personalise it. You enter how many users to process and press Launch.

Message
The Message tab works like Connect. It sends bulk messages to your 1st-level connections, uses the same four personalisation buttons, and can run follow-ups. The FAQ says you can send up to 100 to 150 messages on LinkedIn, depending on the type of account.

Visit
The Visit tab opens profiles automatically. The blog says the target gets a notification that you viewed their profile and that 15 to 20 per cent of users open your profile in return. The tutorial page says you can visit hundreds of profiles a day.

Endorse
The Endorse tab endorses skills on the profiles you chose. The home page says up to 7 skills, the blog says 3 to 7. The FAQ says it endorses the skills at the very top of the profile and you cannot pick specific ones.

List tools
A Premium button removes all free LinkedIn profiles from a list. Cut removes a set number from the top or bottom. Forward copies users to other campaigns. A history of processed users blocks the same person being added again, and the FAQ says it also detects an identical message.

Getting people into a list
You use the pop-up on a LinkedIn search (basic or Sales Navigator) or the My Network page and send up to 1,000 profiles at a time to the CRM. You can also import profile URLs, and export first name, last name, email, website, LinkedIn URL, company and position to CSV.

What Octopus CRM does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Whether a note on a connection request is limited for free LinkedIn accounts
- A daily number for visits or endorsements
- InMail, following, liking posts or commenting as actions
- AI-written messages
- What the Connect tab does when LinkedIn refuses a request
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- The home page says it endorses up to 7 skills on each profile, while its blog says from 3 to 7.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Octopus CRM has more verbs
Visiting and endorsing are the warm-up moves its pages recommend before a message. Warmerly has no such step in a campaign, so a sequence there is a request, a wait and a message.
Warmerly protects against messaging too early
Its engine checks that the person has actually accepted before a message step, and gives up after 21 days. Octopus CRM handles the same problem through linked campaigns, which move accepted users onward.
Free accounts shape the choice
Free LinkedIn accounts have a small allowance of personalised notes. Warmerly's code advises leaving the note empty. Octopus CRM sends a note by default and offers a Premium filter to focus on paid profiles.
Check what your target list needs
If you build lists from Sales Navigator searches, Octopus CRM's pop-up works from them directly. Warmerly's LinkedIn search runs from a connected account, and its CSV import needs an email for every row.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want a LinkedIn message to wait for the connection and then follow an email step
- You want each LinkedIn message optionally written for one prospect
- You want warmup activity (posts, reactions, comments) running on a ramp
- Two LinkedIn steps are enough because email does most of the work
Octopus CRM is the better fit if
- You want visits and endorsements as steps before a message
- You build lists from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator searches
- You want a Premium-only filter and Cut, Forward and history tools on a list
- You want to send hundreds of visits a day from one list
