Warmup and deliverability

Octopus CRM details read from its home page, FAQ, feature pages, blog, terms, privacy policy and Chrome Web Store listing on 21 October 2026.
Mailbox warmup on a 30-day ramp, DNS checks every 6 hours, 16 blocklists and placement tests.
None listed. Its warming means endorsing and visiting leads, not warming a mailbox.
Warmup and deliverability, in one look.
Warmerly warms each mailbox on a 30-day ramp from 4 a day to 50 a day, checks SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX every 6 hours, checks 16 blocklists and runs placement tests. Octopus CRM uses the word warm for people, not mailboxes: it endorses skills and visits profiles to warm leads up before a message, and we found no mailbox warmup, DNS checks, blocklist checks or placement tests on its pages. If you send no email, this row does not apply to you. Last checked 21 October 2026.
None listed. Its warming means endorsing and visiting leads, not warming a mailbox.
Drawn side by side.
Warmup emails a day, per mailbox
Warmerly's ramp over the first 30 days
- Warmerly: 4 a day at day 0, 8 at day 3, 15 at day 7, 25 at day 14, 35 at day 21 and 50 at day 30, capped at 40 on Gmail, 30 on Outlook and 25 on Zoho.
- Octopus CRM: no mailbox warmup is listed, so no line is drawn.
Octopus CRM uses the word warm for leads: visits and endorsements before a message. Weekends, health and spam placement lower Warmerly's quota further.

What it looks like.

Warmerly, in detail.
Warmerly warms each mailbox on a ramp: 4 a day at day 0, 50 a day by day 30, cut by provider cap, weekends, spam placement and health. DNS records and blocklists are watched on a schedule, and a placement test scores where a message lands.
The ramp, from anchor points
The daily quota is interpolated between anchors: 4 a day at day 0, 8 at day 3, 15 at day 7, 25 at day 14, 35 at day 21 and 50 at day 30. It counts days the mailbox really sent, so a paused mailbox cannot skip ahead. Domain age is not an input.

The ceiling is the lowest of three limits
The quota is the lowest of the age ramp, the provider cap and a hard ceiling of 50 a day. Provider caps are Gmail 40, Outlook 30 and Zoho 25. Weekends run at 0.6 of the weekday quota, and a poor health score or spam placement cuts it further.

DNS checks every 6 hours
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX are judged on quality as well as presence, such as the SPF limit of 10 lookups and a DKIM key of 1024 bits or shorter. Each finding has an explanation and a fix. The sweep runs every 6 hours, or on demand with Re-check now.

6 domain and 10 IP blocklists
Warmerly queries 6 domain lists and 10 IP lists by plain DNS lookup. A refused query is never reported as a listing, and several well-known zones are left out on purpose.

Placement tests, with their limit stated
A test sends one message to up to 4 targets and scores inbox 100, promotions 60, spam 10 and missing 0. Warmerly's own doc recorded on 15 October 2026 that no real Gmail or Outlook seed mailbox had been added, so tests fall back to its own pool and say Limited accuracy.

What warmup does not do
Mailbox warmup does not warm a LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn warmup is a separate feature of the LinkedIn add-on, which posts, reacts, comments and views profiles on its own ramp.

Octopus CRM, in detail.
Warm, on Octopus CRM's pages, means getting a person used to your name before a message. There is no mailbox, domain or placement side described.
Warming leads with endorsements
The auto connect page says that once connection requests are accepted you warm leads up by endorsing their skills, and that around 10 to 15 per cent of the endorsed users open your profile and endorse you back. It calls this a way to improve your profile authority.

A different return rate on another page
The auto endorse page says 5 to 15 per cent of your 1st-level contacts will notice, open your profile and endorse your skills in return, and that you could quickly get 99+ endorsements in around 2 to 3 months of active use.

Warming with profile visits
The blog says a visited person gets an immediate notification that you viewed their profile and 15 to 20 per cent will open your profile in return, and calls it a way to get extra attention from your target audience.

Warming the LinkedIn account itself
No page describes a ramp for a new LinkedIn account. The FAQ asks you to keep your activity growth gradual or use Activity Control, which is available on the Unlimited tier and sends alerts about excessive activity.

The one mention of email reputation
We found none. The only email feature, Connect by Email, is described as protecting your LinkedIn account, not as having a sender reputation of its own.

What Octopus CRM does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Mailbox warmup or a warmup network
- SPF, DKIM, DMARC or MX checks
- Blocklist monitoring for a domain or an IP address
- A placement or inbox test
- A health score for any mailbox
- Advice on sending volume for email
- A deliverability guarantee
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Octopus CRM's own pages give three different return rates for warming a lead: 10 to 15 per cent on the auto connect page, 5 to 15 per cent on the auto endorse page and 15 to 20 per cent for profile visits in its blog.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Skip this row if you send no email
If Octopus CRM is your whole outreach, mailbox warmup and DNS checks do not apply. The row matters only when an email step is part of the plan.
Treat the return rates as marketing estimates
Three pages give three ranges for how many people reciprocate. None says how it was measured. Warmerly publishes no reciprocation figure for its own profile views either.
Both tools ramp what they do, in different places
Warmerly ramps mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts on published curves. Octopus CRM leaves pace to you and offers alerts on its top tier.
Warmup is not a guarantee
A ramp lowers the risk of a new mailbox being treated as a bulk sender. It does not promise inbox placement, and Warmerly's own placement test states its limits.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You send cold email and want the mailboxes warmed and watched

Octopus CRM is the better fit if
- You do not send email and only need LinkedIn
- You want visits and endorsements to warm a lead before a message
