Funnels and sequences
One row, in depth: what each tool does, the verified numbers, and who each suits.

Linked campaigns pass accepted users to a messaging campaign. Funnels start on the Advanced tier.
Funnels and sequences, in one look.
Warmerly builds sequences on a drag-and-drop canvas that mixes email, LinkedIn and wait steps, with one condition step that branches on 4 outcomes: replied, clicked, opened or timeout. Octopus CRM chains actions by linking campaigns, so users who accept a connection request move on to a messaging campaign, which it calls a funnel and ticks from the Advanced tier at $21.99 a month. Its pages promise follow-ups without saying how they are set up, and neither tool branches on a LinkedIn profile detail beyond what is built in. Last checked 21 October 2026.

Drawn side by side.
How the steps are chained
From each side's own description
Octopus CRM's pages do not say how long a follow-up waits or how a reply is detected. Warmerly's LinkedIn message waits for acceptance and skips a lead after 21 days.
What can branch
Conditions each side lists
- RepliedWins first
- ClickedNeeds click tracking
- OpenedNeeds open tracking
- TimeoutIf nothing matched
- AcceptedMoves to the next campaign
- ForwardCopies users by hand
Warmerly's condition outcomes read email events and cannot branch on a LinkedIn profile detail. Octopus CRM's funnels start on the Advanced tier at $21.99 a month.
Warmerly, in detail.
A drag-and-drop canvas with a condition step that branches on replied, clicked, opened or a timeout, mixed with email, LinkedIn and wait steps. LinkedIn rules such as waiting for a connection are built in, not drawn as a branch.
One condition step, four outcomes
A condition step waits for a set time and races the outcomes against each other. A reply wins first, then a click, then an open, and if the time runs out with nothing matched the timeout edge fires. The opened and clicked outcomes are read from the lead's latest email.

Only the canvas makes branches
Branching sequences are built in the drag-and-drop canvas. The simpler list editor handles linear sequences only: email, wait, LinkedIn connection, LinkedIn message and WhatsApp message. If a sequence has a condition, the list editor refuses to show it rather than flatten it.

LinkedIn rules are built in
Before a LinkedIn message step the engine checks whether the lead is now a first-degree connection. If not, it re-checks every 6 hours and skips the lead 21 days after the invitation. You cannot draw a different path from that check, for example to switch to email when an invitation is ignored.

A step's own delay is honoured
A follow-up set to wait N days after the previous step waits that long. The sequence API and the MCP tool store the delay on the next step, and the engine honours it. A ready-made LinkedIn then email template connects, waits 2 days, then sends two emails.

A reply stops the sequence by default
A genuine reply stops the lead's sequence by default, and unsubscribes go on a workspace-wide suppression list that every step respects.

Where Warmerly is behind
We found no condition on whether a lead is connected, has an open profile, or has seen your profile, and no step that visits or endorses. A lead who never accepts cannot be sent down a different path by a rule you draw.

Octopus CRM, in detail.
Octopus CRM chains campaigns together. A connecting campaign can pass accepted users to a messaging campaign, and the funnel builder is a tick on the Advanced tier.
Link campaigns
In Tools, Link campaigns ties two or more campaigns together. You activate it in a connecting campaign and pick a target campaign, for example a messaging one, and users who accept the invitation start to appear there for follow-up messages.

The funnel idea
The home page imagines you connecting, then sending a thank-you message once the requests are accepted, endorsing a few skills to warm prospects up, and then sending follow-ups. It says you can add, remove and combine features and keep prospects in a personal dashboard.

Funnels are a tier feature
Build funnels is ticked from the Advanced tier on the plan table, with a tooltip saying you can create your personal LinkedIn lead generation funnel. The Pro tier and below do not tick it.

Follow-ups when nobody replies
The lead generation and prospecting pages say you can auto follow up leads if there is no response. They do not describe how long it waits or how a reply is detected.

Moving people between campaigns by hand
Forward copies users to other campaigns, from the main list or from the list of processed users, so a campaign can also be fed manually. The history of processed users stops anyone being added twice.

A video on funnels
The tutorial page lists a video on building funnels: transferring profiles between lists, creating campaigns, combining and managing them. We did not watch it, so we cannot describe what it shows beyond that listing.

What Octopus CRM does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- A visual canvas or a diagram of the funnel
- Conditions or branches such as if accepted or if replied
- The delay between steps in a linked campaign
- What stops a funnel when someone replies
- Email steps in a funnel
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- The blog describes campaigns being created and linked without naming a tier, while the plan table ticks Build funnels only from Advanced.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
A funnel on each side means something different
Octopus CRM's funnel is a relay: when one campaign finishes with a person, another picks them up. Warmerly's sequence is one timeline for each lead, which can include email and can branch on what the lead did.
Branching helps most with email
Warmerly's conditions read email events: replied, clicked, opened. A LinkedIn-only funnel has nothing to open or click, so the branches matter less there.
Ask what happens to a silent lead
Octopus CRM says it follows up when there is no response. Ask how many days it waits and what it does after the last step. Warmerly skips a lead 21 days after an unaccepted invitation.
Price the funnel, not the tool
To chain steps in Octopus CRM you need Advanced at $21.99 a month, or $14.99 on the Annually tab. Warmerly includes chaining on any plan that runs campaigns, with the LinkedIn account on top.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want email and LinkedIn steps in one timeline
- You want to branch on whether a lead replied, clicked or opened
- You want a ready-made LinkedIn then email template
- You want the sequence to stop when someone replies
Octopus CRM is the better fit if
- You want a funnel made only of LinkedIn actions
- You want accepted users to move on to a messaging campaign by themselves
- You want visits and endorsements in the chain
- You are happy to move users between campaigns with Forward
