The short answer

Ready-made mailboxes, in one look.

Warmerly's hosted mailboxes are $2.99 each a month at the Starter rate, which is $14.95 for five, and the domain is bought on top from US$15. On list prices Mailshake is ahead for a set of five. How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

Hosted mailboxes billed per mailbox, cheaper on higher plans, kept off the plan's mailbox count, with DNS and warm-up handled for you. You can also host mailboxes on a domain you already own with no domain fee.

01

Price per mailbox

A Warmerly-hosted mailbox is $2.99 a month at the Starter rate, $1.99 on Growth and $0.99 on Agency. Five mailboxes cost $14.95 at the Starter rate and $9.95 at the Growth rate.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

02

The domain is extra

Warmerly can register a domain for you. It is priced from US$15, rounded up to whole dollars, and renewals carry the same price.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

03

Does not use a plan slot

A hosted mailbox never counts against the plan's mailbox limit, so a Free workspace can buy one, on a subscription for that mailbox alone.

04

Where Warmerly is behind

For five mailboxes on a new domain, Warmerly's list price is higher than Mailshake's $12 add-on at the Starter rate, because the domain is a separate charge.

05

Your own domain costs nothing extra

You can connect a domain you already own by changing its nameservers, or add the records yourself. There is no domain fee, and you do not need to buy a domain from Warmerly.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

06

DNS records published for you

For a domain you buy or connect by nameservers, Warmerly publishes the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records itself. On the manual route you add them and Warmerly checks about every minute until they resolve.

07

Warm-up starts by itself

Warm-up starts automatically and stays on. A new mailbox's daily limit defaults to 30 campaign emails, the volume ramp keeps the first days lower, and warm-up volume keeps rising until about day 30, longer on a brand new domain.

08

No IMAP or SMTP login to take elsewhere

Hosted mailboxes are used through Warmerly's inbox and API. No external login with IMAP or SMTP details is provided today, so you cannot connect them to another sending tool. Mailshake's page does not say either way.

09

Four ways to get a mailbox

Buy a new domain, connect one you own, add mailboxes to a domain you already host, or take a ready-warmed mailbox, which appears only when some are in stock.

What Mailshake does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • Sending limits per mailbox
  • Whether you can use a domain you already own
  • A maximum number of domains
  • Warm-up length or schedule for the new mailboxes
  • Whether the mailboxes work with any other tool through IMAP or SMTP
  • A limit on how many domains one account can add
  • Whether support will replace a mailbox that has been flagged

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • Mailshake's pricing page shows $11 a month under Yearly for the add-on, which is $132 over a year, while its mailboxes page says $129 a year.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Compare the full month

Add the domain to Warmerly's figure before you compare. A domain from US$15 is a separate charge, with renewals at the same price.

2

Your own domain

If you already own domains, Warmerly's plan covers mailboxes you bring, 5 on Starter, without paying per mailbox at all.

3

Ten mailboxes, monthly

Mailshake sells mailboxes in fives, so ten is two domains at $12, which is $24 a month. Warmerly's ten hosted mailboxes are $29.90 at the Starter rate, $19.90 at the Growth rate and $9.90 at the Agency rate, with any new domains on top. Each side also needs its own plan.

4

Five mailboxes, yearly, including the domain

Warmerly's yearly figure is 10 times monthly. Five hosted mailboxes at the Growth rate are $9.95 x 10 = $99.50 a year, and one domain from US$15 brings that to $114.50. Mailshake's add-on is $129 a year. At the Starter rate it is $14.95 x 10 = $149.50 plus $15 = $164.50. The Growth rate needs a $490 yearly Growth plan, so the comparison depends on the plan you already pay for.

5

If the domain already exists

With a domain you own, Warmerly charges no domain fee, so five hosted mailboxes are $14.95 a month at the Starter rate or $9.95 at Growth. Mailshake's page does not say whether its add-on can use a domain you already own.

6

If you need to use the mailbox elsewhere

Warmerly's hosted mailboxes cannot be logged into from another tool today. If you plan to send from the same address in a different platform, bring your own mailbox to Warmerly instead, which counts against the plan's mailbox limit.
