Linked Helper

Desktop app on your computer or a server you control; campaigns pause when it is off

The short answer

Where it runs, in one look.

Warmerly's LinkedIn steps run on its side through a hosted provider, so your computer can be off, while Linked Helper is desktop software on both Local and Cloud and its campaigns pause when that machine is off. Linked Helper is desktop software. On both its Local and Cloud versions the automation runs on your computer or a server you control, and campaigns pause when that machine is off. Cloud only changes where the data is stored, on its US servers. Warmerly's LinkedIn steps run on Warmerly's side through a hosted provider, so your own computer can be off, though an account can show as disconnected if that provider has a problem. How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

A web app with no installer. LinkedIn is connected by signing in through Warmerly, and the work is done by a hosted service, not by software on your machine.

01

No software to install

Warmerly is used in a browser. The LinkedIn account is connected by signing in through the Warmerly connect flow, and nothing runs on your computer to keep a campaign going.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

02

A hosted third-party service does the connecting

The LinkedIn connection runs through a hosted third-party service (LinkupAPI). That means an account can show as disconnected when that service has a problem, and Warmerly depends on it for LinkedIn.

03

Warmup and sending are scheduled for you

Each day Warmerly plans the warmup actions for a connected account, and campaigns spend from the same daily budget. Warmup jobs run in a window of 08:00 to 20:00 local time.

04

A restriction pauses the account's warmup

If a failure looks like a restriction, a checkpoint or a rate limit, the account's warmup is paused with the reason and stays paused until someone turns it back on.

05

Customer data is hosted in the EU

Warmerly states that customer data is hosted in the EU, and the same line appears on its pages as a published claim. We did not audit the hosting for this comparison.

06

Where Warmerly is behind

You cannot choose where the connection runs, and you do not control the proxy it uses. If you want your own machine and your own IP for an account, Warmerly cannot do that.

How Linked Helper does it

Linked Helper, in detail.

Software you install and keep running. Both versions need a computer or a VPS on, and Cloud adds data sync and backups on Linked Helper's servers.

01

Desktop software on both versions

The pricing FAQ answers 'Is it cloud-based automation?' with no. It is desktop software that runs on your computer or a VPS, on both the Local and the Cloud version.

02

It stops when the machine stops

The FAQ says it does not run when the computer is off, on either version, and recommends a VPS for 24/7 operation. The multi-account page says accounts pause if the machine is switched off.

03

Where the LinkedIn session lives

The session is stored on your machine, never on Linked Helper servers, according to the FAQ. The safety kit says cookies and session tokens stay on the local machine and are never uploaded to remote servers.

04

What Cloud adds

Cloud stores data on Linked Helper servers in the United States. It adds automatic backups, working from a second device, automatic sharing with teammates, incoming and outgoing webhooks, and CRM and inbox sync from a shared workspace. Local keeps data in folders on your device.

05

System requirements

Windows 10 or later (x64), Windows Server 2016 or later, macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel, and Ubuntu 18.04 or later with a GUI. A single account on Ubuntu needs 2.5 GB of RAM, 0.5 to 1 CPU core and 4 GB of disk, and N accounts need 0.5 plus 2N GB of RAM.

06

Guidance on servers

The download page says it does not recommend Ubuntu for multiple accounts because of an unstable interface, and suggests a Windows server instead. The multi-account page gives a rule of thumb of about 2 GB of RAM and 1 CPU thread per active account.

07

One account, one machine at a time

The multi-account page says a single account will not open on a second machine at the same time, and the safety kit says duplicate sessions are prevented and duplicate windows closed.

What Linked Helper does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • A server location or hosting provider for Cloud beyond 'United States' on the pricing page
  • A recommended VPS provider or size beyond the RAM rule of thumb
  • What the Cloud data backup covers, and whether it excludes cookies
  • A mobile app
  • Any uptime commitment for the Cloud service

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • Linked Helper's safety kit says session data is never uploaded to remote servers, while another page says local data is 'automatically backed up to the cloud'. Neither page says whether backups exclude cookies.
  • The safety kit warns against cheap datacentre IPs, while advising a dedicated VPS for 24/7 running. Most VPS hosts are datacentres, and the page does not reconcile the two.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Count the cost of keeping a machine on

A laptop that sleeps pauses Linked Helper. A VPS fixes that but costs money and needs setting up, and the pricing page says it is bought separately.

2

Your own machine means your own control

Running on your computer lets you watch the session and use your own IP. The cost is that you maintain it. Warmerly does the reverse: less work, less control.

3

A hosted service has a single point of failure

Warmerly's LinkedIn depends on one provider. When that provider has a problem, accounts can show as disconnected. Linked Helper's failure points are your machine and your connection.

4

Data location can matter to you

If your policies require EU hosting, Warmerly's customer data is hosted in the EU. Linked Helper Local keeps data on your own device, and Cloud uses US servers.

5

Two sessions on one account is the real risk

Whichever tool you choose, avoid signing in by hand on the same account while automation is running, and avoid connecting it to a second tool. That is our advice. The Linked Helper safety kit gives similar advice for an account that has had a warning: remove browser extensions and log out of cloud tools.

Who it suits

Pick the one that fits.

Warmerly LinkedIn

Warmerly is the better fit if

  • You want campaigns to run with your computer closed and no server to manage
  • You need customer data hosted in the EU
  • You would rather not install software or keep a machine on
Linked Helper

Linked Helper is the better fit if

  • You want the session and the data on hardware you control
  • You already run a VPS or an always-on machine
  • You want to pick the IP an account uses
  • You want Cloud sharing between teammates while keeping the session local
Questions
Is Linked Helper Cloud really in the cloud?

Its pricing FAQ says automation is not cloud-based on either version. Cloud is a storage option: data lives on Linked Helper servers in the United States and syncs between devices.

Can I run Linked Helper on a server?

Yes. The pricing page recommends a VPS you control for 24/7 operation, and the download page lists Windows Server and Ubuntu support. The VPS is bought separately.

Does Warmerly run with my computer off?

Yes. LinkedIn steps are carried out by a hosted service, so a campaign does not need your computer. An account can show as disconnected if that service has a problem.

Does Linked Helper work on a Mac?

Yes. Its download page lists macOS 12 or later for Apple Silicon and Intel, as well as Windows and Ubuntu.
