Not metered; each mailbox ramps from 4 a day to 50 (Gmail 40, Outlook 30)
Unlimited accounts; daily warmup limit set per account (default 10)
Warmup emails: what "unlimited" really means, in one look.
Neither tool offers unlimited warmup email volume per mailbox. Instantly means unlimited accounts can be warmed on a paid plan, with a daily warmup limit per account (default 10). Warmerly does not meter warmup or sends on paid plans, but each mailbox follows a ramp from 4 a day to a ceiling of 50 (Gmail 40, Outlook 30). So "unlimited" is only true of accounts and billing, not of daily volume per mailbox. Last checked 19 October 2026.

The ramp, drawn
Emails a day, per mailbox, over the first 30 days
- Warmerly: 4 a day at the start, 50 a day by day 30 (Gmail 40, Outlook 30)
- Instantly: starts at 1 a day, then +1 a day up to the daily warmup limit you set (default 10)
Lines are drawn from the published start, step and ceiling. Real ramps vary by mailbox and provider.
Warmerly, in detail.
Warmup is not metered or billed per email on paid plans, but the volume each mailbox sends is set by a 30-day ramp and hard daily ceilings in the code.
Not metered, but not unlimited
Warmup sends are not a billing meter: the usage code states that campaign sends and warmup sends have no allowance and sending is unmetered on every paid tier. That is a different thing from unlimited volume. Each mailbox has a daily quota worked out by the warmup engine, and it never exceeds 50 a day.

The ramp
The daily quota is interpolated between anchor points: 4 a day at day 0, 8 at day 3, 15 at day 7, 25 at day 14, 35 at day 21 and 50 at day 30. The ramp counts days on which the mailbox really sent (warmupActiveDays), not calendar age, so a paused or newly enabled old mailbox cannot skip ahead. Domain age is not an input.

Ceilings and reductions
Provider caps are Gmail 40, Outlook 30, Zoho 25 and 50 for other providers. Weekends run at 0.6 of the weekday quota. Low health or a high spam placement score cuts the quota to 0.75, 0.7 or 0.4 of normal. A mailbox with refused sends gets one probe send a day. Each day's plan then gets a random jitter of up to plus or minus 15 per cent. You can set a lower daily limit per mailbox yourself. Free sandbox mailboxes are capped at 3 a day.

Peer network and who your mailbox writes to
Warmup mail is real mail between mailboxes in one pool. The Warmup Network Participation Terms say the pool includes other customers' mailboxes and may include mailboxes Warmerly hosts or operates itself. The planner picks a recipient for each send by weighting spread of load, provider diversity, the recipient's own quota and how that recipient's domain has treated this sender's mail over the last 14 days.

What limits the pool in practice
A sender does not write to the same recipient twice within 72 hours, so a sender doing N emails a day needs roughly 3N distinct partners. When a sender runs out, the window relaxes per sender to 48 then 24 hours, never below 24. Recipients whose warmup mail is almost never found (under 20 per cent of at least 20 jobs in 7 days) stop receiving until their evidence ages out. Replies are planned separately and come on top of the first-send quota.

What counts as warmup activity
Each warmup mail is opened after a delay of 10 to 120 minutes (about 90 per cent are opened), about 20 per cent of opened mail is starred as important, spam-placed mail is moved to the inbox, and the recipient replies with a default probability of 0.3 for a first message (lower deeper in a thread, stopping at depth 3). A mailbox graduates from aging to active after 30 days on which it really sent.

Instantly, in detail.
Instantly's paid plans include unlimited email accounts and "unlimited email warmup", which its help centre backs with a per-account daily warmup limit (default 10) and pool rules.
What "unlimited" is on the pricing page
Growth ($47 a month), Hypergrowth ($97) and Light Speed ($358) all list Unlimited Email Accounts and Unlimited Email Warmup. The pricing FAQ says you can connect and warm up unlimited accounts with one subscription. The free trial is limited to 2 accounts for warmup. The Outbound plans comparison table repeats this: Free Trial "No, only 2".

The per-account volume setting
Warmup settings are pre-filled: Increase per day 1, Daily warmup limit 10, Reply rate 30 per cent. With slow warmup on, an account sends 1 warmup email on day 1 and adds 1 a day until it reaches the daily limit. The help text calls 10 the suggested limit for newly created accounts. We did not find a published maximum for the setting. AirMail mailboxes cannot edit these values; Instantly adjusts them.

The marketing page gives different ramp numbers
instantly.ai/email-warmup says the slow ramp sends 2 emails on day 1, 4 on day 2 and 6 on day 3, with a randomised number each day. The help-centre settings article says 1 on day 1, rising by 1. We report both rather than choosing.

Pool and where limits do bite
Your account joins a pool of other Instantly users who have warmup on. The warmup page says the pool has over 1,000,000 real email accounts and runs through a private network of headless browsers. The Standard pool (green flame) is the default. There is a cap on SMTP accounts in it: 100 on Growth, 500 on Hypergrowth, 1,000 on Light Speed, +500 per Outbound add-on at $87 a month. Going over moves every account in the workspace, Google and Outlook too, to the Basic pool (yellow flame), described as lower engagement.

Premium and private pools
The Premium pool (blue flame, Google and Microsoft accounts only) starts at $500 a month per workspace and includes up to 1,000 third-party Microsoft accounts. The Private pool starts at $1,000 a month, is fully isolated and needs your own Google, Outlook and SMTP accounts. Instantly says its own analysis found Premium accounts received 9 per cent more replies than Standard.

Warmup does not use the campaign allowance
The account and campaign limits article says warmup emails do not count toward the daily account limit or the campaign limit. Instantly recommends at least 2 weeks of warmup (3 for AirMail) and a health score above 90 per cent before campaigns.

What Instantly does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Searched help.instantly.ai (Warm-Up collection, 9 articles, plus Warmup Settings and plans comparison) and instantly.ai/pricing and /email-warmup for a maximum value of the Daily warmup limit setting and for a monthly warmup-email allowance; found neither.
- Searched the same pages for any description of how the pool picks recipients; found no statement.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Read "unlimited" as about accounts, not volume
Our reading: on Instantly it describes how many accounts you can warm, and on Warmerly it describes the absence of a send meter. Both tools hold each mailbox to a modest daily number, because that is how warmup is meant to work.
Ceilings differ more than the labels do
Our reading: Instantly's default limit is 10 a day and Warmerly's ramp reaches 50 by day 30, so at maturity Warmerly's mailboxes plan more warmup mail a day by default. Instantly lets you set the number yourself and we found no published maximum, so this is a default-versus-default comparison only.
Where each one gets expensive
Our reading: Warmerly's limit is mailbox count (5, 25, 100 by plan). Instantly's is the SMTP-account allowance in the Standard pool, or a $500 to $1,000 a month pool upgrade if you want its premium or private options.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want one flat price and no thought about warmup volume or pool tiers, with up to 5, 25 or 100 mailboxes.
- You want the ramp to be fixed and visible: 4 a day rising to 50 over 30 days, with the reason for today's limit shown.
- You already warm with Warmerly and send from another tool, so Warmerly only needs to handle warmup.
Instantly is the better fit if
- You need to warm a very large number of mailboxes, since accounts are unlimited on every paid plan.
- You want to set the daily warmup limit, reply rate and open rate yourself.
- You want a published, larger pool and optional Premium or Private pools, and the budget for them.
Is Warmerly's warmup really unlimited?
No. Warmup is not metered or billed per email, but each mailbox ramps from 4 a day to a ceiling of 50 (Gmail 40, Outlook 30), and the number of mailboxes is limited by plan (5, 25 or 100).
Is Instantly's warmup really unlimited?
Its pricing page says unlimited email warmup, meaning unlimited accounts. Each account has a daily warmup limit, 10 by default, and SMTP accounts beyond your plan's allowance (100, 500 or 1,000) drop the workspace to the Basic pool.
How fast does warmup ramp on each?
Warmerly goes from 4 a day at the start to 50 at day 30. Instantly adds 1 a day (its marketing page says 2, 4, 6) up to your daily limit, and suggests at least 2 weeks before campaigns.
Does warmup count against my sending allowance?
Not on either. Warmerly does not meter warmup or sends on paid plans. Instantly says warmup emails do not count toward its account or campaign daily limits.
Who does my mailbox exchange warmup mail with?
On Warmerly, other mailboxes in its warmup pool, which its terms say include other customers' mailboxes and possibly ones Warmerly operates. On Instantly, other Instantly users with warmup on, in a pool it says has over 1,000,000 accounts.
