Try before you pay

One row, in depth: what each tool does, the verified numbers, and who each suits.

Instantly details read from its pricing and help pages on 15 and 17 October 2026.

Warmerly

Free plan (no card) + 7-day trial; no refunds after the first charge

14-day free trial, no card required

The short answer

Try before you pay: trials, refunds and cancelling, in one look.

Neither company refunds a payment already taken for an ordinary plan, so the real question is how much you can test before the first charge. Warmerly gives you an indefinite Free plan with no card, then a 7-day trial of any paid plan that needs a card, plus a narrow 30-day inbox guarantee. Instantly gives a 14-day trial with no card and low caps, and its Terms say all fees are non-refundable. Last checked 19 October 2026.

How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

No money-back window after the first charge, but a no-card Free plan, a 7-day paid trial and one conditional refund guarantee. Cancelling needs no contract.

01

Free plan first, trial second

The Free plan needs no card and never expires, so there is nothing to cancel or refund. Starter, Growth and Agency normally begin with a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it, nothing is charged during the 7 days, and the first charge lands on day 8. Cancel at any point before day 8 and you are not billed at all.

02

Trial limits to know about

The trial is once per workspace, and you can choose to skip it and be charged straight away. During a trial some allowances are held at Starter levels whichever plan you picked, and you can connect at most one LinkedIn account. Cancelling during a trial ends access straight away and the workspace moves to Free.

03

No refunds after the first charge

Payments already taken are not refunded: monthly and annual charges (including renewals you forgot to cancel), prorated charges, add-ons, credit packs and quota blocks. Unused allowances have no cash value. A refund is given only where we charged in error, where we end your account for a reason other than your breach, under the 30-day inbox guarantee, or where the law requires it. Anything else is at our discretion.

04

The 30-day inbox guarantee

On a paid plan, if a mailbox warming continuously for 30 days shows no improvement in inbox placement between its first placement test and a test on or after day 30, we refund that month's plan fee (one twelfth of an annual fee). Conditions: the mailbox stayed connected with warmup on, both tests ran in Warmerly, the account follows the acceptable use policy and was not blocklisted for unrelated reasons, one refund per workspace, and a request within 14 days of the later test. Claims go to support@warmerly.com and are checked by hand. It is a refund of one month, not a promise of any placement result.

05

Cancelling and pausing

The owner cancels in Settings > Billing with Cancel plan. There is no contract, minimum term or cancellation fee. A paid plan runs to the end of the period already paid for, then the workspace moves to Free and your data is not deleted. A monthly plan can instead be paused for 1 to 3 months, once a year, with nothing charged while paused. LinkedIn accounts are never refunded.

06

Price changes and renewals

Plans renew automatically at the price then in effect. We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase applies to a renewal. Upgrades take effect straight away with proration; downgrade proration becomes a credit on your account, never cash.

How Instantly does it

Instantly, in detail.

A 14-day no-card trial, then monthly or yearly plans that renew automatically. Its Terms say all fees are non-refundable, even pro rata, and cancellation of Outbound runs to the end of the billing cycle.

01

The trial

A 14-day trial starts at signup without a card, with up to 2 email accounts, 250 uploaded leads and 1,000 campaign emails. If you do not upgrade, the dashboard closes, warmup and campaigns pause and the account is deleted automatically after expiry. No charge is made.

02

Terms: no refunds

Section 5.3 of the Terms of Service says all fees paid are non-refundable and non-cancellable, with no refunds, reimbursements or credits of any kind, 'including but not limited to partial, prorated, discounted, or promotional refunds', whether the service was used, unused or terminated early. It applies to all plans, credits and add-ons.

03

Ending a paid plan

Section 5.1(b) says you may terminate a paid self-service plan at any time and keep access to the end of the period you paid for, with no refund for unused fees even pro rata. Plans renew automatically at the then-current price. A user may not re-subscribe to the same monthly plan within 21 days for the same account. Section 8.1 refers to 30 days' written notice before the end of a term.

04

How to cancel

Go to Settings > Billing & Usage, pick the plan type's tab and click Cancel Plan. Outbound and Data Credits cancellations are scheduled for the end of the billing cycle, and you can click Resume Subscription to undo one. If the button is missing, contact chat support. Outbound and Data Credits add-ons are cancelled through chat support before the renewal date.

05

Separate subscriptions

Outbound, Data Credits, CRM and Inbox Placement are separate subscriptions that each need cancelling, and each workspace needs its own subscription. Done-for-you, Airmail and pre-warmed email accounts are billed separately on the 15th of each month and cancel immediately. For CRM and Inbox Placement the help centre says the plan ends immediately and prorated credits cover future invoices.

What Instantly does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • Searched the Terms of Service (instantly.ai/terms), the pricing page and the help centre cancellation and billing articles for a money-back guarantee or a refund window after the first charge, and found none. Section 5.3 of the Terms states the opposite.
  • Found no general satisfaction or inbox-placement guarantee for the Outbound plans; the Terms mention a VIP Service Lead Guarantee that is governed by separate terms (instantly.ai/vip-guarantee-terms), which we did not read.
  • Found no published statement of what happens to data after a cancelled paid workspace expires, beyond the trial account being deleted and DFY/Airmail Unibox conversations being deleted after a 24-hour grace period.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Do the testing before the first charge

Our reading: since neither side refunds after paying, the sensible plan is to use the free period properly. Warmerly gives two: the Free plan for as long as you like, then 7 days of a paid plan. Instantly gives one 14-day trial with low caps on accounts, leads and emails.

2

A longer trial versus a trial that needs a card

Our reading: Instantly's 14 days with no card is easier to start and to walk away from. Warmerly's 7-day trial asks for a card and bills on day 8, so set a reminder on day 6 if you are unsure.

3

The inbox guarantee is narrow

Our reading: Warmerly's refund covers one month's fee, only if placement did not improve over 30 days of warmup on a mailbox, tested in Warmerly, with other conditions. Treat it as a safety net for a failed warmup, not as a general money-back promise.

4

Documents disagree on Instantly's credits

Our reading: Instantly's Terms say no credits of any kind, while its help centre says CRM and Inbox Placement cancellations get prorated credits. If this matters to you, ask Instantly's support to confirm in writing before buying those add-ons.

Who it suits

Pick the one that fits.

Warmerly

Warmerly is the better fit if

  • You want to test for as long as you like on a Free plan before deciding anything.
  • You want a pause option, so you can stop paying for 1 to 3 months without cancelling.
  • You want a written guarantee of a one-month refund if warmup shows no placement improvement after 30 days, with its conditions.
  • You want a promise of at least 30 days' notice before a renewal price rise.

Instantly is the better fit if

  • You want a longer trial of 14 days, with no card at all.
  • You are happy to test with 2 accounts and 1,000 emails and then decide.
  • You want cancellation in the dashboard that keeps access to the end of the billing cycle, with a Resume Subscription button to undo it.
  • You want to buy a plan, add-ons and done-for-you accounts as separate subscriptions and cancel each on its own.
Questions
Can I get a refund from Warmerly after the first charge?

Not as a general rule. Payments already taken are not refunded. We refund where we charged you in error, where we end your account for a reason other than your breach, under the 30-day inbox guarantee, or where the law requires it.

What is Warmerly's 30-day inbox guarantee?

If a mailbox warming continuously for 30 days on a paid plan shows no improvement in inbox placement between its first placement test and one on or after day 30, we refund that month's plan fee. It has conditions, covers one refund per workspace, and must be requested within 14 days of the later test.

How do I cancel Warmerly during the trial?

Cancel in Settings > Billing or in the billing portal before day 8 and you are not billed. Access ends straight away and the workspace moves to the Free plan.

Does Instantly refund unused time?

Its Terms say all fees are non-refundable, including prorated refunds. You can cancel and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.

Does Instantly's trial need a card?

No. The 14-day trial needs no card and does not charge at expiry. An account that is not upgraded is deleted after the trial ends.
