Smartlead

SmartSenders: domains, DNS and mailboxes set up for you

The short answer

Ready-made mailboxes, in one look.

Both sell mailboxes you do not have to set up yourself, with different models. Warmerly hosts them itself (OneMail) at $2.99, $1.99 or $0.99 a month by plan, sets up DNS and starts warmup, and sometimes has ready-warmed ones in stock. Smartlead's SmartSenders buys domains and Google, Outlook or SMTP mailboxes from named vendors, from $3.99 to $5 a mailbox a month plus a yearly domain fee, with a pre-warmed option at $9 a mailbox and $18 a domain. Smartlead has the wider choice of mailbox types and a pre-warmed option it delivers in 1 to 2 hours. Warmerly's per-mailbox price is lower and needs no domain fee on a domain you own, but its ready-warmed stock is not always available. Last checked 19 October 2026.

20 mailboxes: Warmerly Growth is $39.80 a month, $477.60 for 12 months, with no fee on a domain you own. Smartlead Fresh Google or Outlook via Zapmail is $90.00 a month plus 4 domains at $13.00 a year, $1,132.00 for 12 months.

Darker bar: mailboxes. Lighter block: Smartlead domains. Arithmetic only, from published prices: Warmerly $2.99, $1.99 and $0.99 a mailbox a month by plan; Smartlead $3.99 to $5 fresh and $9 pre-warmed a mailbox a month, plus $13 to $19 a domain a year. Smartlead domains are counted at 5 mailboxes each (3 for pre-warmed), the ratios its help articles give. Neither plan fee is included, and a new Warmerly domain is priced live by the registrar so it is left out. Smartlead mailboxes expire at month 12.

Ordered any time, delivered 1 to 2 hours after payment, up to 3 mailboxes a domain.

Warmerly's shelf is topped up hourly to a target of 10 mailboxes on each stock domain, at most three created per domain per run, and a new stock mailbox is sellable about three weeks after it is created. So ready-warmed mailboxes are in the wizard only when some are in stock. A buyer can claim 1 to 5 at a time and pays the ordinary OneMail rate.

Rules from Warmerly's stock doc: status active, 21 or more warmup days, a health score of 80 or above (or none yet), warmup on and not waiting on a reconnect. Smartlead's help article does not give the warmup length or the thresholds it uses.
How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

OneMail mailboxes are hosted on Warmerly's own servers, with DNS set up and warmup started for you. Ready-warmed ones appear only when in stock and can send campaigns the same day.

01

What OneMail is

Warmerly hosts the mailbox on its own mail servers, sets up the domain's DNS, starts warmup and connects it to campaigns and the inbox. It is not Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and no IMAP or SMTP login is provided for these mailboxes today. You can buy a new domain in the wizard, connect one you own, or add mailboxes to a domain you already have in OneMail.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

02

Price per mailbox

Hosted mailboxes are bought per unit on top of the plan: $2.99 a month on Starter, $1.99 on Growth and $0.99 on Agency, with no billing minimum on any tier. They do not use a plan mailbox slot. A Free workspace can buy one at the Starter rate through a OneMail-only subscription.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

03

Domains

A new domain is priced live from the registrar before anything is charged. Connecting a domain you already own has no domain fee: by default you change its nameservers to the two the wizard shows, or you can add the records yourself. Adding mailboxes to a domain you already have in OneMail needs no DNS work and warmup starts the same day.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

04

Warmup after ordering

A new mailbox starts campaigns on a volume ramp, from a few emails a day, and its first two weeks are its warming period. Warmup volume keeps rising until about day 30, longer on a brand new domain. A new mailbox's daily limit defaults to 30 campaign emails a day, with the ramp keeping the first days below that.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

05

Ready-warmed stock

Sometimes there are mailboxes that have finished warmup. The option shows in the wizard only when some are in stock. A mailbox must have 21 or more warmup days and a health score of 80 or above (or none yet) to be sold, and it is billed at the ordinary OneMail rate with no premium. A buyer can claim 1 to 5 at a time and can send campaigns the same day.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

06

How the shelf is filled

An hourly job tops each stock domain up to a target of 10 mailboxes on the shelf, creating at most three per domain per run. A new stock mailbox is sellable about three weeks after it is created, so the shelf lags demand. Stock domains are set up by hand by an owner, never automatically.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

07

Not in client workspaces

OneMail cannot be ordered inside an Agency client workspace. It must be ordered on the Agency workspace.

Free sandbox mailbox

Every signup gets a free sandbox mailbox already warming, separate from the one mailbox the Free plan lets you connect.

Warmerly product, checked 19 October 2026

09

Connecting your own

Gmail, Outlook, Zoho or any SMTP and IMAP mailbox can be connected instead, including ones you buy elsewhere. A connected mailbox counts against the plan limit: 1 on Free, 5 on Starter, 25 on Growth, 100 on Agency.

How Smartlead does it

Smartlead, in detail.

SmartSenders buys domains and fresh or pre-warmed mailboxes from named vendors, billed per domain a year and per mailbox a month, on top of the plan. Fresh mailboxes take 24 to 48 hours and need warmup; pre-warmed ones arrive in 1 to 2 hours.

01

Fresh mailbox prices

The pricing page lists SmartSenders fresh mailboxes by provider and vendor. Google and Outlook via Zapmail are $13 a domain a year and $4.50 a mailbox a month. Outlook via InfraInbox is $16 and $5. SMTP via Mailreef is $19 and $3.99, and SMTP via AeroSend is $13 and $4.20. The page text says it was accurate as of 28 July 2026.

02

Pre-warmed mailboxes

Pre-warmed Google and Outlook via Zapmail are $18 a domain a year and $9 a mailbox a month. The help article says each domain supports up to 3 mailboxes, extra mailboxes cannot be added to the domain afterwards, a forwarding domain is required at checkout, and delivery takes 1 to 2 hours after payment. It describes them as ready on day 1 with no warm-up period.

03

Fresh mailboxes: delivery and warmup

The walkthrough and FAQ say fresh mailboxes typically take 24 to 48 hours to provision and need warmup before outreach. The vendor articles give 14 days of warmup for Outlook via InfraInbox and 2 weeks for Google via Zapmail, with after-warmup sending of 10 to 15 an inbox a day rising to 20 for InfraInbox. Smartlead's own articles disagree on several of these figures.

04

How buying works

In the app you go to Sender Accounts, Email Accounts, then Purchase, choose Fresh Mailboxes, pick a count (10, 20, 50, 100 or custom, minimum 1) and a provider (Google, Outlook or SMTP), and enter a base name. SmartSenders generates domain variations, and you add a first name, last name and profile photo per persona before paying. Orders are tracked under SmartSender Orders.

05

Billing rules

Mailboxes are billed monthly and expire at the end of month 12. Domains are a one-time yearly payment with a fixed one-year term and no renewal. The articles say there is no cancellation or pause feature, deleting a mailbox mid-month is billed for that month with no proration, and domain fees are non-refundable. Deleted domains and mailboxes cannot be restored.

06

Mailboxes stay inside Smartlead

The help articles say domains and mailboxes bought through SmartSenders cannot be transferred and used outside Smartlead, and you cannot switch vendor for an active domain. Domain registration runs through the Namecheap API and DNS is managed in Cloudflare, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up automatically.

08

What the home page claims

The home page offers 'Done For You Mailboxes' and says it handles domains, DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC automatically, with clean US IPs, Google and Outlook spread, and discounted pricing per account. It gives no price or delivery time there.

What Smartlead does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • Whether SmartSenders needs a particular plan: neither the pricing page nor the help articles name one.
  • The refund rule for mailboxes: the articles say domain fees are non-refundable but do not cover mailbox refunds.
  • How long a pre-warmed mailbox was warmed for before sale, or the health thresholds used to approve it.
  • Whether the vendors (Zapmail, InfraInbox, Mailreef, AeroSend) can be chosen on every order, or only the one marked 'recommended this week'.
  • Whether pre-warmed mailboxes are available in orders larger than the fixed bundles of 3 per domain.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Different products under one name

Our reading: Smartlead resells Google and Outlook mailboxes from third-party vendors, so they look like normal Workspace or Microsoft mailboxes. Warmerly hosts its own, which are cheaper per mailbox but sit on Warmerly's servers and have no outside IMAP login today.

2

Smartlead is ahead on choice and speed

Our reading: if you want real Google or Outlook mailboxes bought in bulk, Smartlead's ordering flow, with counts up to 100 and custom, is built for that, and its pre-warmed mailboxes arrive in 1 to 2 hours whenever you order. Warmerly does not sell Google or Outlook mailboxes, and its ready-warmed ones depend on stock.

3

Warmerly is ahead on running cost

Our reading: at $0.99 to $2.99 a month a mailbox with no fee on a domain you own, Warmerly's hosted mailboxes cost less to hold than $4.50 to $9 a month plus $13 to $19 a domain a year. The two are not like for like, because the plan fee, volume limits and mailbox type differ.

4

Time to first campaign is the other cost

Our reading: with Smartlead's fresh route you wait 24 to 48 hours and then about two weeks of warmup, so roughly 16 days. With Warmerly's ordinary route warmup starts the same day and its first two weeks are the warming period. A ready-warmed mailbox on either side skips this, so the real question is whether stock is there when you order.

5

Check the lock-in

Our reading: Smartlead says SmartSenders mailboxes cannot leave Smartlead, expire at month 12 and have no pause. Warmerly's hosted mailboxes also have no outside login, so in both cases the mailbox lives with the product. If you want mailboxes you can move, connect ones you buy elsewhere.

6

Ask about the gaps

Our reading: Smartlead's own articles disagree on prices and warmup volumes, so confirm the live checkout before you budget. For Warmerly, check whether ready-warmed stock is in the wizard before you plan around it.
