Inbox placement and spam tests

Inbox placement and spam tests, in one look.
Warmerly runs a placement test to up to 4 targets, but with no dedicated seed list yet its accuracy is limited, and the app says so. GlockApps' Inbox Insight is a spam testing product: you send a message to its seed list and read where it landed, by provider, with filter scores. GlockApps is ahead here. Last checked 22 October 2026.

How a test runs
As each describes it
GlockApps does not state how many seed mailboxes it holds. Warmerly's test is labelled Limited accuracy until it has a dedicated seed list.
What it looks like.

Warmerly, in detail.
A built-in test, honest about its limits.
What a test does
It sends one message to up to 4 targets, waits 30 seconds on demand or 90 in the daily sweep, checks Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk over IMAP and scores each result.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
No dedicated seed list yet
Real measurement needs seed mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo. The doc's check on 2026-10-15 found none in production, so every test falls back to Warmerly's own mailboxes.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Limited accuracy is shown
A fallback test scores close to 100 whatever the sender's real result, so the app labels it Limited accuracy and never uses it to change health.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Allowances
Free has 3 placement tests a month, Starter 5, Growth 25 and Agency 100.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
A daily sweep as well
Once a day a sweep tests mailboxes that have not been tested in the last 24 hours, up to 5 accounts a run, so a mailbox is checked without anyone asking.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
A stuck test is failed, not left
A test still marked running after 20 minutes is marked failed, so an old row never sits on the screen looking like a result.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Degraded tests never change health
A test that fell back to Warmerly's own mailboxes is kept out of the health score, the spam score and the Spam placement figure on the account page.

Run it from an assistant
The MCP server has a run_placement_test tool that sends a test from one of the workspace's own mailboxes and scores where it landed.

GlockApps, in detail.
A seed-list testing product with reports by provider and filter.
A seed list you send to
Your message goes to a seed list described as mailboxes managed by GlockApps. You start a manual test, choose filters and providers, and paste a unique ID string into the message content or headers.

What the report shows
Placement as Inbox, Spam folder or Sub-folders, spam filter scores, content insights, a Sender Score and blocklist record per IP, and domain blocklisting and DKIM alignment.

Six steps for a manual test
Log in, choose Create Spam Test then Start Manual Test, pick filters and providers, pick a target folder with an optional note and Link Checker, paste the unique ID into the message, send to the seed list, then open the report.

A Link Checker switch
Step three of a manual test lets you toggle a Link Checker. The page does not say what it checks.

Smart Tests
On the Growth plan, Smart Tests use one auto-updating proxy address instead of copying seed lists by hand. Each send to a proxy address uses a credit, per its help centre.

Enterprise seed controls
The Enterprise plan lists custom seed emails, sharded distribution of seeds, a year of dashboard insights, swappable autotest letters and throttling for high-volume campaigns.

Per-IP detail
IP Analytics shows placement for each IP in the sending chain, with a Sender Score and blocklist record, while the rDNS record and HELO string are shown for the primary IP only.

Retention of results
Its Trust Center says inbox test messages and placement results are kept for 12 months, message headers for 30 days and the free spam checker's results for 30 days.

What GlockApps does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- How many seed mailboxes the list holds
- What one credit equals in tests
- Whether the Promotions folder is reported by name
- How often scheduled tests run
- How many seed addresses sit on each plan
- Whether sending to the seed list affects your sender reputation, which its FAQ asks but the text does not answer
- What the Link Checker examines
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Its pricing page counts spam test credits, while the spam testing page says nothing about credits and the MCP page speaks of test points. We could not read how these relate.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Keep a real tester if placement is your main worry
Until Warmerly has a dedicated seed list, a tool built for placement gives a firmer answer.
Ask what a credit buys
GlockApps' pages we read do not say how credits map to tests, or how large its seed list is.
A test is one message
Both tools judge one message sent at one moment. GlockApps spreads it over a seed list and reports by provider, while Warmerly's reads up to 4 mailboxes. Neither says how your whole list will land.
Credits against runs
A GlockApps credit pays for one test whatever the seed list size. Warmerly's Starter plan includes 5 tests a month, so if you test weekly, 5 is enough for one mailbox, and a second mailbox would need Growth's 25.
Treat a 100 with care
Warmerly's degraded test scores near 100 whatever the sender's real result, so the app labels it. A high number from a test you did not design is not evidence until you know where the targets sit.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want a basic test inside the tool that warms the mailbox
- You use a separate placement tool already
- You mainly need warmup and campaigns
- You want a test built into the mailbox you are warming
- You want a daily sweep without asking for it
- You want an assistant to run a test from a connected mailbox
GlockApps is the better fit if
- You want independent placement tests from a seed list
- You want spam filter scores and per-IP reports
- You want scheduled tests and alerts on higher plans
- You want per-IP reports with a Sender Score and blocklist record
- You want to export a report as a PDF
- You want to test from your own sending tool by pasting an ID
Does GlockApps test inbox placement?
Yes. Inbox Insight sends your message to its seed list and reports inbox, spam or sub-folder placement by provider, with 2 free tests (glockapps.com, read 21 October 2026). The size of the seed list is not stated.
Is Warmerly's placement test accurate?
Not yet in full. With no dedicated seed list it falls back to Warmerly's own mailboxes, so it is labelled Limited accuracy in the app.
How does a GlockApps manual test work?
You create a spam test, pick providers and filters, paste a unique ID into your message, send it to the seed list and open the report when it is ready (glockapps.com/spam-testing, read 22 October 2026).
How long does GlockApps keep my test results?
Its Trust Center says inbox tests are kept for 12 months and message headers for 30 days (read 22 October 2026).
Can I schedule placement tests on Warmerly?
A daily sweep runs on its own, up to 5 accounts a run, and skips any mailbox tested in the last 24 hours. You can also run one on demand from the Health tab.
