04

Real targets depend on seeds

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

05

Same provider and others

Of up to 4 targets, up to 2 sit at the sender's own provider and 2 at others, so a Gmail sender is tested at Gmail and at other providers.

06

Four folders are searched

Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk are searched over IMAP for a message with a unique token in its subject.

07

Real targets are possible

The doc lists a mode that uses consenting Gmail and Outlook mailboxes of other customers when a switch is on and at least 2 are eligible. The doc's check on 15 October 2026 found no dedicated seeds in production.

Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026

08

Fallback is labelled

When the targets are only Warmerly's own mailboxes the run is flagged degraded and the account page shows Limited accuracy, so a reader is told which kind of result they have.

What GlockApps does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • The exact number of providers
  • How many seed mailboxes sit behind each provider
  • How many seed mailboxes sit behind each provider
  • How a spam score is calculated or which threshold counts as a pass
  • Whether a report includes SPF and DMARC results
  • Whether the free checker and the paid test use the same seed mailboxes

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • The spam testing page lists a set of named providers, while the API page says 30+ others after four named. The wording differs and we could not reconcile the counts.
  • The spam testing page names 27 providers in its Delivery Report list, the API page says Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, AOL and 30+ others, and the home page's free checker says Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and the spam checker section adds AOL. We report each and cannot reconcile them.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

Filters matter for corporate mail

Barracuda, Proofpoint and Microsoft EOP guard many company inboxes. A test that scores them says something Warmerly's folder check cannot.

2

Treat provider counts with care

Its pages give different provider counts, so check the current list for the providers your buyers use.

3

Where your buyers are

If your buyers use company mail guarded by Barracuda, Proofpoint or Microsoft EOP, a filter score tells you something a folder check cannot. If they use Gmail and Outlook, 4 targets read by folder may be enough for a first look.

4

27 names are not 27 seeds

A provider list tells you the range, not the depth. Without a seed count per provider, a result for Mail.ru could rest on one mailbox or many.

5

Check the provider you sell into

Run one test through each provider your top 10 accounts use, then compare. GlockApps covers the longer list. Warmerly's targets depend on the sender's provider and the pool.

6

Regional mail

A sender selling into Germany or Poland meets GMX, Web.de, T-online, Onet and O2 mailboxes. GlockApps names those providers, and Warmerly's targets are not chosen by country, so a test of Warmerly's would not tell you about them.

Who it suits

Pick the one that fits.

Warmerly

Warmerly is the better fit if

  • You want a quick folder check on a mailbox you warm
  • You do not need filter scores
  • You want the test beside the warmup that fixes problems
  • Your buyers are mostly on Gmail or Outlook
  • You want the folder where the message landed, not a score
  • You want a test that starts from the mailbox you send from
GlockApps

GlockApps is the better fit if

  • You want scores from named spam filters
  • You send to many provider types
  • You want Postmaster data beside placement
  • You sell into corporate mail and want filter scores
  • You send to Europe or Eastern Europe and want regional providers
  • You want Google Postmaster metrics beside your tests
  • You need a test that names the providers your list actually uses
