Warmup strategies and controls

One row, in depth: what each tool does, the verified numbers, and who each suits.

TrulyInbox details read from its pricing page, home, features, how-it-works, network, why-trulyinbox and agencies pages, V2 blog post, refund policy, terms, privacy policy, API docs and help centre on 21 October 2026.

Warmerly

One ramp for every mailbox, with a daily limit you can lower per mailbox.

TrulyInbox

Four strategies, a reply-rate slider, schedules and provider targeting; its V2 post says one AI strategy replaces them.

The short answer

Warmup strategies and controls, in one look.

Warmerly runs one ramp for every mailbox and lets you lower the daily limit on each. TrulyInbox is ahead on controls: its pricing and features pages sell four warmup strategies, a reply-rate slider, schedules and provider targeting, though its V2 post says one AI strategy with a daily maximum replaces the four. How Warmerly does it

Warmerly, in detail.

One ramp, an age-and-health-driven quota, and a daily limit you can lower. Fewer dials, on purpose.

01

One ramp for every mailbox

Every mailbox follows the same curve, from 4 a day on day 0 to 50 a day by day 30. There is no strategy to pick, so there is no wrong choice to make on day one.

02

A lower daily limit, per mailbox

Each mailbox can carry its own warmup daily limit set below the ramp, and a switch to pause or resume warmup. The limit only holds the quota down; it never raises it above what the ramp allows.

03

Working hours in the mailbox's own time

Warmup sends happen between 08:00 and 20:00 in the mailbox's local timezone, so the pattern follows a working day.

04

Default engagement behaviour

A warmup message is opened after a delay of 10 to 120 minutes, about 90 per cent are opened and about 20 per cent of those are starred. A reply has a default chance of 30 per cent, lower deeper in a thread, stopping at three messages.

05

The reason for today's number

The warmup page names what limits a mailbox's quota today, whether age, provider cap, weekend or health, so you can see why it is not higher.

06

Graduation changes a label, not the volume

After 30 days on which it really sent, a mailbox moves from aging to active. Nothing functional changes: the volume still comes from the ramp, and warmup keeps running while you send.

How TrulyInbox does it

TrulyInbox, in detail.

Four strategies and a set of dials on the pages sold today, and a single AI strategy in the V2 rebuild rolling out since 2 October.

01

Four named strategies

AI Adaptive tunes daily volume to account health, Progressive ramps up for new accounts, Randomised fluctuates, and Flat holds a fixed volume for established accounts. You can switch at any time.

02

Starter has one, Growth has all four

The pricing page lists AI Adaptive on Starter and all four strategies, with adjustable settings, on Growth and above.

03

Reply rate, schedule and provider mix

A slider sets the reply rate and the system works out the replies from daily volume. Custom schedules cover timezone, sending days and time windows, and provider targeting splits warmup across Google, Microsoft and others.

AI-written content

Warmup emails cover 50+ industries with up to 5 topics, in 12 languages. The why-trulyinbox page says that if AI generation fails it silently falls back to default content.

What TrulyInbox does not say

We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.

  • What each strategy's daily volume curve looks like in numbers
  • Which accounts have already moved to V2 and which still see the four strategies
  • Whether the reply-rate slider has limits, or what range is allowed
  • The full list of the 12 languages: only English, Spanish, French and German are named

Where the sources disagree

We report each version rather than pick one.

  • TrulyInbox's pricing and features pages describe four warmup strategies, and its V2 post says one AI strategy replaces them. Both are live on the site at once, and the post says features differ while the rollout runs in phases.
  • The features page lists the strategy named Random and the pricing and V2 pages call it Randomised. We use Randomised.

In practice

What it means for you.

Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.

1

More dials mean more ways to get it wrong

TrulyInbox's own help blames most warmup problems on behaviour such as sudden changes, restarting and over-adjusting. A product with fewer settings has fewer of those mistakes to make, and fewer ways to tune.

2

Check which version your account runs

TrulyInbox's V2 post says free accounts move first and API users last, with an email before your account moves. If the strategy picker you see differs from its pricing page, that is why.

3

Use the reply rate with care

TrulyInbox's slider lets you push the share of warmup mail that gets a reply. Warmerly's default is 30 per cent for a first message. A higher reply rate is more activity, not necessarily a better-looking pattern.

4

Timezone and hours matter for outreach too

If your prospects work in a different timezone from your mailboxes, TrulyInbox's schedule control lets you move the warmup window. Warmerly's campaigns have a separate recipient-local window, but its warmup window is the mailbox's own day.

5

Language and industry need a human check

TrulyInbox says it writes warmup content to match your industry and language. We could not test its output, so read a sample from your own account before you rely on it.

Warmerly is the better fit if

  • You want warmup to run without choosing a strategy
  • You would rather read why today's volume is what it is than tune it
  • You want a ramp that holds to Gmail, Outlook and Zoho caps for you

TrulyInbox

TrulyInbox is the better fit if

  • You want to pick a strategy, such as Flat for an established mailbox
  • You want to set the reply rate, schedule and provider mix
  • You want warmup text in a given language or industry
  • You will watch results and adjust in small steps
Questions
What warmup strategies does TrulyInbox have?

Its features and pricing pages list four: AI Adaptive, Progressive, Randomised and Flat. Its V2 post says one AI strategy replaces them, with a daily maximum you set.

Which TrulyInbox plan includes all four strategies?

Growth and above. Starter lists AI Adaptive only, according to the pricing page.

Does Warmerly have warmup strategies?

No. Every mailbox follows one ramp, 4 a day on day 0 to 50 a day by day 30, adjusted for provider caps, weekends and health. You can lower a mailbox's daily limit.

Can I set the reply rate on Warmerly?

Warmerly's default is a 30 per cent chance of a reply to a first warmup message, lower deeper in a thread. Our docs do not publish a customer reply-rate setting, so we do not claim one.

Is it wise to switch strategy often?

TrulyInbox's own help advises against it: small changes, made rarely, work better than constant adjustment.
