REST API and webhooks on the Agency plan only; an MCP server on every plan.

REST API and webhooks on the Agency plan only; an MCP server on every plan.
A v2 REST API with 56 endpoints and scoped keys, listed from Starter up; no webhooks found.
API access, in one look.
Warmerly's REST API and webhooks need the Agency plan at $179, with one key that carries its owner's full access; its MCP server for AI assistants is on every plan. TrulyInbox is ahead here: its pricing page lists API access from Starter, and its v2 API has 56 endpoints in 9 groups with scoped keys, though its rate limits are low on the cheaper tiers. Drawn side by side.
Warmerly, in detail.
A broad API on the top plan only, with simple keys, a published rate limit and health webhooks.
Agency plan only
API keys, the API and webhooks need the Agency plan, $179 a month. Free, Starter and Growth get a 403 error. The Agency 7-day trial includes the API, so an integration can be tested before the first charge.

Keys carry full access
A key starts with wmv_ and is sent in an X-Api-Key header. Each user can hold up to 10 active keys, and a key has the full access of the person who made it, across every workspace they belong to. There are no per-endpoint scopes and no read-only keys.

One rate limit, 60 a minute
Each key's limit is 60 requests a minute by default, set at creation from 1 to 120, and capped at 120 on every plan. Going over returns a 429. Monthly allowances return a 402 instead.

What it covers
Accounts, campaigns, leads, inbox, suppression, usage and quotas, email verification, the email finder, warmup, workspaces, API keys and webhooks. Everything the API does is also in the dashboard.

Webhooks about mailbox health
Signed webhooks send events such as score_drop, score_floor, auth_fail, smtp_fail, imap_fail, flagged, auto_paused, dns_changed and the connect and disconnect events. They do not send opens or replies, and are Agency-only.

An MCP server on every plan
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients can read from and act in a workspace through an MCP server, on every plan including Free, signing in with OAuth 2.1 and needing no key. No tool can start or resume campaign sending.

TrulyInbox, in detail.
A documented v2 REST API, with two key types, twelve scopes, role caps and plan-based rate limits, and a V2 migration still to come.
56 endpoints in 9 groups
System 2, Email Accounts 15, Workspaces 6, Workspace Settings 10, Billing 2, Warmup 9, Deliverability 5, Reports 5 and Notifications 3. One bearer key authenticates all of it, and responses share one envelope with an error code.

Two kinds of key
A workspace key (prefix ti_ws_) is tied to one workspace and acts as a role set at creation, default Admin. A personal key (ti_pk_) acts as you with your live role. A key is shown once, and revocation is immediate.

Scopes and role caps
There are twelve scopes, such as accounts:read, accounts:write, warmup:manage, analytics:read and workspace:manage. A scope is also capped by role, for example billing:read and workspace:manage need Admin. A missing scope returns 403.

Rate limits by plan
Per key per minute, read, write and bulk: Free 5, 2 and 1, Starter 10, 5 and 2, Growth 20, 10 and 4, Scale 30, 15 and 6. Separately, 100 requests a minute per IP across all keys. Headers show what is left.

Plan access
The pricing page lists API access from Starter up. The docs add an error code, 150007, for a plan that does not include API access, and say the key works again after an upgrade. The docs also list a rate-limit row for Free.

What changes in V2
The V2 post says endpoints change, API users move last, and a migration guide is promised but not yet published. The connect-oauth endpoint is marked partner use only.

What TrulyInbox does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Webhooks: the docs list a notifications group that you poll, and mention no webhook
- Rate limits for a custom plan, as the table stops at the Scale Plus 20,000 setting
- The migration guide for V2 API changes, which the post says is not yet published
- Whether the Free plan can call the API, as the pricing page and the docs read differently
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- The pricing page lists API access from Starter, but the API docs give a rate-limit budget for Free and a separate error for a plan without API access, and do not say which plans include it.
- The docs list 150004 for both a 403 workspace error and a key-management 404, where the table appears to intend 150104. We do not rely on either code.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Price of getting in
To call TrulyInbox's API you need Starter at $29 a month on monthly billing. To call Warmerly's you need Agency at $179 a month, unless you test in the 7-day Agency trial. If the API is why you are buying, that is a large gap.
Scopes are a real security difference
TrulyInbox lets you give an integration only accounts:read, and its docs advise that read-only integrations should hold no write scope. Warmerly's key can do anything its owner can, so keep it out of tools you do not control.
Its rate limits are tight on Starter
10 reads, 5 writes and 2 bulk calls a minute on Starter is workable for a nightly job and slow for a sync of hundreds of accounts. Warmerly's 60 a minute is higher but costs an Agency plan.
Warmerly adds webhooks, TrulyInbox adds reports
Warmerly can push a score_drop or dns_changed event to you. TrulyInbox's API lets you pull overview, trend and leaderboard reports, and we found no webhook, so you would poll.
AI assistants are a separate door
Warmerly's MCP server works on every plan, so a Free workspace can be driven from Claude or ChatGPT. We found no MCP server for TrulyInbox.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want webhooks for mailbox health events
- You want an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT on every plan
- You are on Agency anyway and want the API included
- You want a simple key and a single rate limit to reason about
TrulyInbox is the better fit if
- You need API access without paying for a top plan
- You want scoped, role-capped and workspace-bound keys
- You want warmup start, pause and bulk control from code
- You want published rate limits for each plan
Which TrulyInbox plan includes the API?
Its pricing page lists API access from Starter. Its docs mention an error for a plan without API access and list a rate-limit row for Free, so check the live pricing page.
What are TrulyInbox's API rate limits?
Per key per minute: Starter 10 reads, 5 writes and 2 bulk calls, Growth 20, 10 and 4, Scale 30, 15 and 6. There is also 100 requests a minute per IP address across all keys.
Does either have webhooks?
Warmerly has signed webhooks for mailbox health events on Agency. We found no webhook on TrulyInbox's pages; its notifications group is polled.
Is the TrulyInbox API changing?
Yes. Its V2 post says endpoints change and API users move last, with a migration guide promised and not yet published.
