Spam-folder rescue, in one look.
Warmerly moves warmup mail that lands in spam back to the inbox, marks it read, starred and important, and replies. Every spam-placed warmup message is rescued, after a delay of 10 to 120 minutes. We found nothing about spam rescue in Apollo's pricing page, deliverability pages or the help articles on warmup and mailboxes, so we cannot say whether it does this. Last checked 22 October 2026.

From spam to inbox
Minutes between a warmup email landing in spam and it being moved out
Warmerly's timings come from its warmup code. Apollo's warmup runs through a third party, so it may handle spam placement without saying so. We can only report what we read.
Warmerly, in detail.
Rescue is part of warmup and applies to every spam-placed warmup message between Warmerly mailboxes.
What is rescued
When the processor finds a warmup message in a recipient's spam folder (Gmail Spam, Junk, Junk Email), it recovers it. Every spam-placed message is rescued, with no sampling.

What a rescue does
It removes the Junk keywords, marks the message read, starred and important, and moves it to the inbox. On Gmail, moving out of Spam is the Not spam signal. A reply is then queued unless the thread is at depth 3.

When it happens
Each job has a read delay of 10 to 120 minutes after sending. A mailbox's first warmup email is read after 10 to 20 minutes. The rescue happens after that delay, never within minutes of delivery.

Warmup mail only
Only warmup mail between Warmerly mailboxes is rescued. Campaign mail to real prospects is never touched. A rescued job still shows in placement and rescue stats.

A reply follows the rescue
After the move a reply is queued from the recipient whatever the account's reply probability. It is skipped at thread depth 3, when the recipient is not active or aging with warmup on, or when a hosted mailbox would be answering a low-reputation sender.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
It used to be sampled
Rescue used to apply to about 75 per cent of spam-placed messages. It was made unconditional because a message left in Spam keeps teaching the filter that the sender is junk.

Spam placement also lowers the quota
A spam placement score of 10 multiplies a mailbox's warmup quota by 0.7 and a score of 20 or more by 0.4. So a mailbox that keeps landing in spam both has its mail rescued and is given less to send.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
A placement test checks the real folder
A placement test sends probe emails from the mailbox to a small set of target mailboxes and reports whether each landed in the inbox, promotions or spam. When it could only use Warmerly's own warmup mailboxes it is marked limited accuracy and is a send check, not a verdict.

Placement tests are a monthly allowance
Free includes 3 placement tests a month, Starter 5, Growth 25 and Agency 100.

What rescue cannot do
Rescue touches warmup mail between Warmerly mailboxes only. A campaign email to a prospect that lands in spam stays there, and rescue is no promise about where your next real message lands.

Apollo.io, in detail.
We found no description of spam rescue on the Apollo pages we read.
Warmup is described as test messages in a network
The help article says warmup uses a private network of real inboxes to send, receive, open and reply to emails, and says nothing about moving spam-placed warmup mail to the inbox.
knowledge.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/26772718460045-Use-Email-Warmup-to-Improve-Deliverability · read 22 October 2026
Its deliverability tools are about checking
The mailboxes article lists blocklist checks, inbox placement tests and a deliverability score. None of those moves mail out of spam.

A spam count in bounce logs
Bounce logs on paid plans show Spam blocks, the number of emails rejected by receiving providers due to spam. That counts rejections, not rescues.

Blocklist checks on over fifty lists
Apollo runs real-time checks against over fifty supported blocklist databases. A mailbox shows Healthy, Caution, Blocklisted or Retry. If blocklisted, the help article suggests pausing outreach from that mailbox and switching to one on a separate domain.

Inbox placement tests, as a diagnostic
Apollo sends non-promotional test emails from your mailbox to seed mailboxes for each provider you tick, and shows a score with a breakdown by folder and provider. It says to use the result as a diagnostic signal, not as the exact share of your emails reaching inboxes.

Placement tests have gaps
Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL placement tests are listed as temporarily unavailable, and Gmail availability may vary. The tests do not use credits, but their emails count toward the mailbox's rolling 24-hour sent total.

Both checks go through third parties
The article says blocklist checks and inbox placement tests are conducted through third-party providers, that participation is optional, and that Apollo does not control or take responsibility for them.

Protections that act before sending
Apollo enables bounce guard and protection against emails sent to catch-all domains by default for all teams. Its product page also lists blocklist monitoring with alerts and sequence autopause when bounce rates spike, with no threshold given.

A warning about warmup mail in spam
The warmup help article says to filter warmup mail rather than mass-delete it or mark it as spam, because that may affect sender reputation. It does not describe moving it out of spam.

What Apollo.io does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- Any statement that warmup mail is moved out of spam
- Any timing for such a move
- Whether the third-party warmup provider does it
- Whether Apollo's placement test or deliverability score changes anything about where mail lands
- Whether the warmup network's inboxes open or reply to mail found in spam
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Apollo's help article tells you not to mark warmup mail as spam, while we found nothing on the warmup network moving it out of spam. This is a gap in what we read, not a statement that the network does not do it.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
Absence on a page is not absence in a product
Apollo's warmup is run by a third party, so it may do this without Apollo saying so. We can only report what we read.
Why it matters
A warmup message left in spam teaches a filter that the sender is junk. Moving it out is the Not spam signal, which is the point of the feature.
What Apollo shows you, and what it does not
Apollo's tools report: a blocklist status, a placement score by folder and provider, a deliverability score and a count of spam blocks. Each of those tells you something has gone wrong. None of the pages we read describes an action that undoes it for warmup mail.
Two different questions
A placement test asks where a message went. Rescue changes where warmup mail ends up after it went to spam. Warmerly offers both, and Apollo's pages describe the first. They answer different questions, so having one does not replace the other.
A worked day for one mailbox
Take a mailbox on Warmerly at day 14 with a Gmail cap of 40 and a quota of 25. If 3 of those 25 warmup mails reach a recipient's spam folder, all 3 are moved to the inbox and answered, each after its own delay of 10 to 120 minutes.
Where to ask Apollo
We read four Apollo pages on this subject (pricing, the warmup article, the mailboxes article and the deliverability product page) and none describes it. If it matters to you, ask Apollo in writing, because we cannot read the third-party provider's behaviour.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want a stated rule for what happens to warmup mail that lands in spam
- You want a documented rule that spam-placed warmup mail is moved to the inbox and answered
- You want a lower warmup quota when spam placement rises
Apollo.io is the better fit if
- You are comfortable relying on the third-party provider's own handling, which Apollo does not describe
- You want blocklist checks on over fifty lists and a placement score by provider inside the same tool as your outreach
