Credits, in one look.
Warmerly has separate monthly allowances for finding, verifying and exporting, placement tests, and a smaller AI credits allowance of 100 a month on Starter, 500 on Growth and 2,500 on Agency. Warmerly's monthly allowances reset and do not roll over, but credits you buy do not expire while the workspace exists. Apollo meters a lot through credits: emails, phone numbers, enrichment, AI research, US dialer calls and parts of its email set-up, pooled across the team and lost at the end of each billing cycle. Warmerly, in detail.
Allowances named for what they cover, rather than one pot of credits, plus a small AI credit wallet that can also buy extra blocks.
Allowances by action
Verifications, email lookups, LinkedIn lookups, lead exports and placement tests each have their own monthly allowance, shown on the tool that spends it and in Settings, Usage and limits.

AI credits are small and separate
AI credits are 0 on Free, 100 a month on Starter, 500 on Growth and 2,500 on Agency. Each AI-personalised campaign message costs one credit, as does each suggested LinkedIn reply, and a credit is refunded if nothing was generated or the reply is not used.

Monthly allowances reset and do not roll over
Monthly allowances reset on the 1st and do not roll over. A failed action is not charged, and a lookup that finds no address is not charged either. A repeat verification of the same address inside its memory window is free.

Bought credits do not expire
Credit packs are one-off payments. Purchased credits never expire while your workspace exists, have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not refunded. Warmerly draws the monthly allowance first and the purchased balance after it. Only the workspace owner can buy a pack.

Credits can buy extra blocks, never automatically
For five allowances (email verifications, email lookups, LinkedIn lookups, lead exports and placement tests) you can spend credits on an extra block instead of changing plan. Blocks never expire, are used after that month's allowance, and nothing is bought until you press a button that states the price. We did not read the pack prices, which the app shows at purchase.

What happens when AI credits run out
A step with AI personalise on sends your own template text when no credit is available. A campaign that uses the AI opener line holds all its sending until credits are back, and the leads stay queued. Top up and sending resumes by itself.

What is not metered
Warmup is included on every plan and is never metered. Campaign sends on paid plans are not metered either. Free has 100 campaign sends a month, which the docs describe as an abuse guard.

Trials and Agency workspaces
During a free trial the monthly allowances are held at Starter level whichever plan you are trialling. An Agency workspace and its client workspaces share one credit wallet.

Apollo.io, in detail.
One credit pot per team, spent across data, AI, calling and email set-up, granted for the billing cycle and lost at its end.
What credits are spent on
The help article says credits are used to reveal emails and phone numbers, enrich records, run AI research, use email warmup and complete other credit-consuming actions. It also lists dialer, exports, inbound and website visitors, and email infrastructure. The pricing FAQ adds domains and mailboxes.

Pooled and granted up front
The FAQ says credits are pooled across the team and granted upfront at the start of each billing cycle, so the full allotment is there from day one. The Free card is the exception: 900 credits a year per seat, granted monthly.

They do not roll over
Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, for both plan credits and add-on credits.

Add-on credits renew
Extra credits are added in Settings, Manage Subscription, Customize Credits with a slider. They are charged immediately and renew automatically each cycle until you drag the slider back to zero before the next renewal date. If you downgrade, add-on credits stay available until the end of the current billing period.

Per-user caps and monitoring
Settings, Credit usage shows consumption by date range, credit type and user. Admins can set per-user credit caps from team management settings, to stop one person using the shared pool.

Some API calls cost credits
The API documentation says some endpoints consume credits and all others do not. Examples: organisation enrichment is 1 credit per organisation, organisation search is 1 credit per page of up to 100 results, and people enrichment is 1 to 9 credits per person. The page also notes that paginating through results raises total credit use.

Billing changes
Switching monthly to annual is allowed at any time, with payment already made prorated toward the annual plan. Switching annual to monthly means cancelling and waiting for the annual term to end. Plan downgrades take effect at once and no refund is given for unused time.

What Unlimited means
The FAQ says features labelled Unlimited have no set usage limit in the plan, but usage may still be subject to a Fair Use Policy.

What Apollo.io does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- The price of an add-on credit
- How many credits an extra warmed mailbox costs beyond the help article's 200 per 30 days
- The Fair Use Policy's actual limits
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Apollo's pricing FAQ calls its free tier Starter, while the price cards call it Free. Its FAQ says a trial includes 75 credits, which is also the Free plan's monthly share of 900 a year. We report both and do not say how they relate.
Only what we could verify.

Warmerly
Apollo.io
Per month. Apollo prices are per seat and were read on apollo.io/pricing, in its annual and monthly views, on 21 October 2026; Warmerly's email plans cover mailboxes, not people. Prices exclude tax.
What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
A pot is flexible and hard to predict
Apollo's one pot lets you spend on whatever you need, but a team can run it dry mid-cycle, and the FAQ says credits also cover email warmup and domains and mailboxes. Admins can cap a user, and Settings, Credit usage shows where the credits went.
What 2,500 credits a month stretches to
Basic's 30,000 a year is 2,500 a month. On emails alone that is 2,500. On phone numbers at 8 credits it is 312. On the US dialer at 1 credit per 30 seconds it is 1,250 minutes, about 20.8 hours, before any 30-second minimum rounding. On AI research at 1 credit a run it is 2,500 runs. One seat can only do one of these at full volume.
Free is a small taster
Free's 900 credits a year, granted monthly, is 75 a month. That is 75 emails or 9 phone numbers a month. The FAQ separately says a trial includes 75 credits.
Warmerly's AI credits, worked out
One credit per AI message means Starter's 100 a month personalises 100 messages, Growth's 500 personalises 500 and Agency's 2,500 personalises 2,500. A 500-lead campaign with AI personalise on in one step needs 500, which Growth covers in a month and Starter does not. Agency's 2,500 covers five such campaigns.
Named allowances are easier to plan
Warmerly's limits are plain numbers per action, so you can see if a plan covers your month before you start. The cost is flexibility: a verification allowance cannot be spent on lookups, though credits can buy an extra block of either.
Forgotten add-ons
Because Apollo's add-on credits are charged immediately and renew each cycle, a slider left up bills again at the next renewal. Check the slider before each renewal date.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You want fixed allowances you can plan around
- You want credits you buy to stay until you use them
- You do not need credits for data, calling or dialling at all
- You want sending and warmup that no credit meter can interrupt on a paid plan
Apollo.io is the better fit if
- You want one flexible pot for data, AI and calling
- You want admin per-user credit caps and a usage screen by credit type
- You want a plan that includes phone numbers and enrichment at 8 and 1 to 8 credits each
Does Warmerly use credits?
For AI features, and for buying extra blocks: 100 a month on Starter, 500 on Growth, 2,500 on Agency. Finding, verifying and exporting have their own monthly allowances, and credits can top those up.
Do Apollo credits roll over?
No. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, including add-on credits.
Do Warmerly credits expire?
The monthly AI allowance resets on the 1st and does not roll over. Credits you buy never expire while the workspace exists, but they have no cash value and are not refunded.
Can I cap how many credits one person spends?
On Apollo, yes: admins can set per-user credit caps. Warmerly's allowances are per workspace, and we did not find a per-user cap.
What happens if Warmerly credits run out mid-campaign?
A step with AI personalise sends your template text. A campaign using the AI opener holds all sending until credits are back, then resumes by itself.
