A spam test across 30+ mailboxes at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, with a report and scheduled runs.
Spam test and inbox placement, in one look.
Warmerly's placement test sends to up to 4 targets and, until it has a dedicated seed list, its accuracy is limited, which the app says, while Mailreach's spam test reports where a message lands across 30+ mailboxes at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo and can run on a schedule. Mailreach is clearly ahead here. Last checked 22 October 2026.

How a test runs
As each describes it
Warmerly's score is labelled Limited accuracy when the test ran against its own mailboxes.
What it looks like.

Warmerly, in detail.
A real send, a scored result per target and honest labels, held back by the fact that its targets are its own mailboxes until it has a seed list.
What a test does
It sends one message to up to 4 targets, waits 30 seconds on demand or 90 in the daily sweep, checks Inbox, Promotions, Spam and Junk over IMAP and scores each result.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
No dedicated seed list yet
Real measurement needs seed mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo. The doc's check on 2026-10-15 found none in production, so every test falls back to Warmerly's own mailboxes.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Limited accuracy is shown
A fallback test scores close to 100 whatever the sender's real result, so the app labels it Limited accuracy and never uses it to change health.

Allowances
Free has 3 placement tests a month, Starter 5, Growth 25 and Agency 100.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
How the score is made
Each target result scores inbox 100, promotions 60, spam 10 and missing 0, and the test averages them. The scale is fixed and written in the code, so you can work out any score by hand.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Two same provider, two cross provider
Targets are chosen as up to 2 on the sender's own provider and up to 2 on others, rotated so one mailbox is not worn out.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
It tests the sender, not your copy
The test message is a fixed one with a token in its subject. It shows where this mailbox's mail lands, and does not score your campaign text for spam words or links.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
A switch for customer seeds exists
Code to test into consenting customer warmup mailboxes sits behind a switch that is off by default, with caps of 2 a day per customer and per mailbox. The doc says it has not been run against production.
Warmerly product, checked 21 October 2026
Time and cadence
An on demand test holds for about 45 to 60 seconds. The daily sweep tests at most 5 mailboxes per run and skips any mailbox tested in the last 24 hours.

What Mailreach does not say
We looked, and found no statement on these. That is about its published pages only, not about the product.
- How the spam score is calculated
- Which blacklists are checked
- The shortest interval for scheduled tests
- Any independent test of its accuracy claims
- How many seed addresses the test list holds
- How long test history and stored emails are kept
- Whether the free checker needs an account
- The credit price for extra tests
Where the sources disagree
We report each version rather than pick one.
- Its pages call its score accurate and unbiased without a published method or an independent test, so we report those as its claims.
- Its provider coverage varies by page: Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, all major providers, or any provider.
Only what we could verify.

What it means for you.
Our reading of the facts above. Not a promise, and not the only reasonable reading.
If placement data decides your tool, choose Mailreach
A seed test across 30+ mailboxes is something Warmerly does not have.
Do not read Warmerly's score as a measurement
While it tests against its own mailboxes, treat the score as a delivery check, not a view of Gmail or Outlook.
What a month of tests buys
Starter includes 5 placement tests a month. With 5 mailboxes that is one test each. Mailreach's all in one plan includes at least 20 credits, so testing each of 5 mailboxes weekly for four weeks uses all 20. Its free checker allows 3 tests in 24 hours, which is at most 90 in a 30 day month.
Four results against thirty
One Warmerly test returns up to 4 results, and today they come from its own mailboxes. One Mailreach report says it spans 30+ mailboxes at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo. That is at least seven times as many results from outside the sender's network, which is the difference that matters when a client asks where mail landed.
Test content before you send it
If the question is whether a template trips filters, only Mailreach's report speaks to it, through its content checks. Warmerly's test answers a different question: is this mailbox healthy enough to land in an inbox.
Using both
Nothing stops you running a Mailreach spam test on a campaign draft while Warmerly sends it. Use the seed result to fix content, and Warmerly's health and DNS checks to keep the mailbox itself in shape.
Pick the one that fits.
Warmerly is the better fit if
- You do not depend on a seed test
- You want honest labels on what a test can tell you
- You already use a separate placement tester
- You want a fixed, explainable score you can reproduce by hand
- You want testing included on a free plan
- You want the test to sit beside warmup, DNS and campaigns in one app
Mailreach is the better fit if
- You want a spam test with reports and scheduled runs
- You want placement shown by provider
- You want to share a report with a developer
- You want your copy checked for spam words, links and images
- You want automated tests and an API for them
- You want a CSV export of results
Does Mailreach have a spam test?
Yes. It reports where a message lands in 30+ mailboxes at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, with a spam score and recommendations (mailreach.co/email-spam-test, read 21 October 2026).
Does Warmerly have a seed list?
Not a dedicated one yet. Its placement test falls back to its own warmup mailboxes, so its accuracy is limited and the app says so.
How is a Warmerly placement score calculated?
Each target is scored inbox 100, promotions 60, spam 10 and missing 0, and the scores are averaged. A test on fallback targets is labelled Limited accuracy and does not change health.
Does Mailreach publish how many seed mailboxes it uses?
It says the report shows results across 30+ different mailboxes. The list of addresses was not readable on the page, so the exact seed count is not stated (read 22 October 2026).
Does a Warmerly test check my email's content?
No. It sends a fixed message from your mailbox to its targets, so it measures where the mailbox lands, not how your copy reads.
