Warmerly's Free plan sends 100 campaign emails a month from 1 of your own mailbox, with unlimited warmup. Hunter allows 500 recipients per sequence from 1 connected account, Snov.io 100 recipients a month, and Mailmeteor 500 emails a month without follow-ups. Smartlead, Saleshandy, lemlist and Woodpecker offer free trials without a card, but the trial ends. QuickMail asks for a card to start a trial, and Mailshake takes payment up front.

## The free plans, one by one

### Warmerly: free cold email with warmup built in

Warmerly's Free plan has no card and no time limit. You connect 1 mailbox of your own (Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP/SMTP account), warm it up with no cap on warmup emails, and run 1 campaign of up to 500 leads, sending 100 campaign emails a month. It also includes 250 email verifications, 50 email lookups and 3 inbox placement tests a month (the placement test has limited accuracy until Warmerly adds a dedicated Gmail and Outlook seed list).

The limits, plainly. 100 campaign emails a month is enough to test a message, not to run outbound at volume. Campaign emails sent on Free carry a small "Sent with Warmerly" line. Paid plans start at $19 a month for 5 mailboxes and do not meter campaign sends; they start with a trial that does ask for a card.

### Hunter: free plan with the most recipients per sequence

Hunter's free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It includes 50 credits a month, 1 connected email account and up to 500 recipients per sequence. The credits are shared with Hunter's email finder and verifier, which is where Hunter is strongest.

### Snov.io: free plan with a warm-up slot

Snov.io's free plan is called Trial, but it does not end: credits and recipients renew every 30 days. It allows 100 recipients a month, 50 credits and 1 warm-up slot, with unlimited senders and campaigns. Integrations, A/B testing, the API and export are not included on it. Snov.io's pricing page does not say whether a card is needed.

### Mailmeteor: free mail merge, not a sequence tool

Mailmeteor's Free plan sends 500 emails a month, at most 50 a day, across 3 campaigns from 1 sender. Follow-ups are not included, so it suits a one-off mail merge from Gmail more than a cold email sequence.

## Cold email tools with a free trial but no free plan

- Smartlead: "All plans come with a free trial and no credit card is required to get started." The trial length is not stated. Base costs $39 a month.
- Saleshandy: a 7-day trial with no card. Starter costs $41 a month.
- lemlist: a 14-day trial with no card.
- Woodpecker: a trial of 14 days or 100 cold emails, whichever comes first, with no card.
- QuickMail: a 14-day trial that asks for card details at sign-up. It does not convert to paid by itself.
- Mailshake: no trial; it takes payment up front.

## Which free cold email tool should you pick?

If you need email addresses more than sending, Hunter's free plan is the stronger start. If you only need a one-off mail merge from Gmail, Mailmeteor is simpler. If you want to send a real sequence from your own domain and warm the mailbox at the same time, Warmerly's Free plan does both and never expires. If you already know you will send thousands of emails a month, a paid trial from Smartlead, Saleshandy or lemlist will tell you more than any free plan.
